Spannort Hotel & Restaurant  

L'hotel est conforme aux idées que l'on peut s'en faire suivant les photos: style alpin chic. Du bois, mais pas du rustique. L'emplacement est au coeur d'Engelberg, au milieu des boutiques et restaurant. Stephan à l'accueil, qui est aussi le manager, est très prévenant, même si il ne parle pas français. Les chambres sont spacieuses, le petit déjeuner est en buffet avec des produits de qualité, même si il est plutôt salé que sucré. Je vous conseille cet hotel. Excellent pour un week end en amoureux.

Le lit est composé de deux lits autonomes de 90cm. Dommage pour ceux qui aiment dormir rapprochés. J'avais tendance à m'enfoncer entre les deux...Hormis ce détail, tout est parfait.

Excellent accueil de l'ensemble du personnel, très souriant et serviable; les boiseries des murs, du plafond et le joli parquet donnent une atmosphère chaleureuse à notre très jolie chambre , l'éclairage indirect tout en douceur crée une ambiance romantique et le décor est d"une modernité raffinée, calme absolu ,confort, tout est impeccable, de bon goût et original

La non maitrise totale du français (langue nationale) par le personnel de la réception. L'éclairage de la salle de bain est très mal conçu et insuffisant.

Très bon accueil , dans un établissement décoré avec beaucoup de goût, bonne cuisine .

Nous avons été reçus de manière très agréable et la décoration style chalet du restaurant correspond à la situation de l'établissement.

Fantastic staff, couldn't do enough for me (even made me a packed breakfast when they heard I was getting an early morning train). Cosy wood-paneled room. Fantastic view of the mountains from the balcony.

Super nice staff and the best location in Engelberg

The breakfast did not quite match the overall high standard and the price of the stay.

Fantastic staff.. very helpful, polite and welcoming. Breakfast is a typical ski hotel inclusive but very good none the less. Location is in the middle Engelberg on the main street. Ski bus to Titlis Gondola station is 50 yards away and 5 mins to the station.

We found the double rooms a little small but with good facilities. The bathroom was very small but clean and a great hot power shower.c

Lovely hotel, perfect location and staff very helpful and accomodating. Very clean and smart decor, excellent sauna would definitely stay again if I go back to engelberg.

The lounge area was beautifully decorated and comfortable. It provided a wonderful setting to enjoy a good book, a view of the falling snow, and a lovely environment. Breakfasts were excellent and the staff were incredibly helpful.

Hotel doesn't have a guest bar.

The tranquillity (but I were there in low season. Pay attention to the bells of the benedictine monastery. I loved that sounds even if it may wake you earlier thant you had wished) The comfort of the bed. The charming efficacy of the staff.

Our stay at Spannort hotel was wonderful. From the moment we checked in to the moment we left I can not fault a thing. The manager who checked us in gave us advise on which were the most scenic routes to drive to Liechtenstein and was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and had a lovely view. Would highly recommend to fellow travellers!

The bathroom was a little small and dated.

This is a very attractive, centrally located hotel and an easy walk from the station. Our room was rather compact but comfortable. The restaurant was excellent. The breakfast selection was good and served in a very pleasant room. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful and interested in making our stay a pleasant one. We would return to the Spannort and to Engelberg.

Lighting in the bathroom was a bit gloomy.

A bar on the lounge level would make this the perfect hotel.

Quality hotel in Engelberg

Beautiful hotel, staff very friendly and helpful

Disappointed that we were not told the restaurant would be closed the night of our stay, as this was the main reason to stay here and have the ease to eat within the same building, as we were on a stopover to Italy. We had phoned to confirm our booking and were not told then. The room was too hot and it was too noisy on the street to have the window open. The breakfast was good, the room was very comfortable and the hotel was decorated well, but with the restaurant closed it was lifeless!

The hotel has a very calm atmosphere, perfect for your holiday. Its at a great location, couple of minutes walking distance from the station of Engelberg.

I cannot say enough about the Spannort Hotel. It is situated in beautiful Engelberg, right at the heart of the town, a couple of minute's walk from the train station. The decor is stunning right from the word go. Stefan was an exceptional host and we felt incredibly welcome. We were upgraded to the junior suite at no extra charge, and it was just such a wonderful room, though I imagine they are all equally as impressive. We had a view of the local architecture and the distant mountains from our balcony. The wifi signal was excellent, the TV had english channels, the room was spotlessly clean and very quiet. There was an enormous thunderstorm while we were there and we barely heard a thing. We were given a map of the local area with very good tips of things to do in the local area along with a discount card. The restaurant was not open as it was off-season but local restaurants are just a stone's throw away. I would love to see Engelberg in the winter and this hotel alone has convinced us to return again.

Check in was fast and efficient; the room was very clean, roomy (got an upgrade) and bright during the day. The staff (owners) was friendly and courtious. The breakfast was good and as expected in Switzerland. Would definately recommend.

The price was a bit high for the season, lighting was very dark in the evening. The halfboard price in the restaurant was not worth it; the menu was ok but certainly not worth cfh 43/person.

Absolutely wonderful stay, very welcoming staff, nice room, comfortable bed, free sauna and delicious breakfast! Plus cozy restaraunt with tasty food, lounge with free tea, discount card, view from the balcony. Thank you so much for that!
