Great location, helpful staff

Breakfast quite basic for Europe. Although centrally located, 5 min walk to train then a wait and 25 min train journey. If like skiing without hassle, stay in wengen which is far quicker uplift. Overall hotel is good choice if staying in town

Room was amazing! Had balcony with view of the eiger, modern but still "Swiss". Was there on our honeymoon and staff took care to decorate our room with some chocolates and candles, super close to train station and ski lifts, boot warmers in ski locker were really convenient. Breakfast was extravagant, bed was giant by European standards and very comfortable. Only complaint is the stupid shower curtain was hung like 6 inches inside the bathtub and kept sticking to me while trying to shower. Very annoying. Perfect otherwise, definitely want to stay here again, great value for the money!

Excellent Location, the exterior of the hotel is very average but the rooms and the view from them are mind blowing..

The spa timing's should be extended, specially at night. Rooms should be cleaned with a little more perfection.

The common areas and rooms were comfortable. The breakfast was copious and of good quality. The spa lacked a pool but for its small size it was quite nice. The staff were generally friendly and helpful. The Italian restaurant had very good, authentic food. (Its service was uneven but even when the waiters mixed things up, they were very gracious about fixing them.) The central location was also a plus.

The room was advertised as accommodating four people but actually contained only two twin beds plus one twin cot. Fortunately one of my three kids could not come or we would have been in trouble. This is a website problem that booking.com needs to iron out as it has happened to me twice already (4 beds advertised, 3 beds found). The coed "nudity encouraged" spa was also a shock. I'm of Nordic origin and an inveterate sauna goer. In those countries saunas are generally not coed except for family groups and close friends, and a hotel would definitely not encourage (in writing, in fact!) nudity in a coed common spa area. We really didn't want to be surrounded by so many naked strangers. I'm not sure what the health benefit would be! My other comment is about respecting the environment. The hotel could have recycling bins and remind guests gently to think twice before using lots of towels, water, etc. Individual shampoo bottles, etc., could be eliminated. Even guests used to pampering might be more environmentally conscious in these days of global warming.

Internet signal was so weak in our room (412) that it was impossible to connect. I told the receptionist but she said it normaly works. I had to go outside my room to use internet, there the signal was ok. If you go toward the room 413, which is near the stairs, the signal was enough strong. Besides the tv signal was also interrupted so ofen that it irritated us. Something is wrong with this hotel or room 412.

Around 10 mins walk from train station (though a bit sloop on the way from train station to hotel, but still managable with luggages); with a great view to Grindlewald, polite and responsive staff, comfortable and clean room.

Double bed is putting two single beds together.
