Servizi e personale. Ha una piacevole hall ed una splendida sala ristorante,purtroppo adibita solo per la prima colazione.

Hotel vicinissimo alla stazione e molto comodo con il tram per raggiungere il centro; l'hotel fornisce ai turisti la tessera gratuita per i mezzi pubblici. Camere pulite, carine e confortevoli. Ottima la colazione a buffet. Gentile lo staff. Nel complesso ci siamo trovati molto bene.

Rumore dei tram che transitano nella via.

La camera assegnatami, la possibilità di girare la città in modo veloce e comodo con i tram, il fatto di ricevere gratuitamente la carta per viaggiare con bus e tram.Possibilità di parcheggiare al coperto l'automobile.

Con le finestre aperte é difficile poter riposare tranquillamente durante il giorno a causa del rumore cittadino.

Tutto il personale, dalla reception alle colazioni, di alta rpofessionalità, gentilezze e simpatia. Il buffet della colazione è di altissima qualità. Stanze (arredo, finiture, pulizia) gradevolissime. L'eccezionale qualità dei trasporti pubblici di Basilea ha contribuito alla riuscita di un soggiorno che combinava lavoro e impegni di famiglia, ma la piacevolezza del soggiorno al St. Gotthard è stata il pezzo forte del soggiorno.

There is some noise from the train station in front of the hotel.

Everything about the staff, hotel and location except for the airconditioning I mention.

It was warm while we were in Basel and needed airconditioning. Room 403's airconditioning is essentially non-functional and we were hot and sleot poorly both nights. We were told by staff after the 1st night that this is the way airconditioning works in Switzerland, which I feel is unacceptable.

This was the second time I stayed in this hotel. This time round, they assigned me a room directly above the supermarket and opposite the tram track as opposed to a room in the back wing which is quieter. End result was at night, you could hear drunkards fighting, taxi drivers talking loudly and the screeching of the trams. I tried to sleep with the windows opened, it was too noisy, I closed the windows and tried turning on the airconditioning, otherwise the room is too stuffy, it didn't work. I was told by the hotel staff that airconditioning is not available until summer. I think based on the location of the hotel, they should leave the choice of the airconditioning to the guests and make it available all year round. Otherwise, guests like me who end up in the front wing will not be able to sleep well.

The hotel is in a great location: near the train station and only a few minutes away from great shopping. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are beautifully designed, spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet is wonderful! This hotel is one of our all-time favorite places to stay at!!

Impossible to access by car, would have liked a warning in advance. A hotel bar would have been nice.

everything was excellent.the staff thought about all.very thouthful was the erely breakfast monday morning before going to the parade. the location of the hotel was most convinient with all the trams in a walking distence.breakfast was excellent,with extremly polite and efficient stuff.

The moment you enter Hotel St. Gotthard you are treated as a friend with a smile and with generousity in many ways: wifi, minibar, welcome drink and fruit at any time, even a leed to your phone if you have forgotten your charger. The breakfast in a beautiful cadre is excellent and generous with nice good coffee, even a fresh one if you prefer an americano. I can highly recomend this hotel for business or for pleasure to go to the excellent museums in Basel. M.T.S.

This was our first visit to Basel and the hotel was fantastic. Friendly helpful staff who were always happy to assist, rooms impressively clean and well set up, easy access to rooms with lift and breakfast was fantastic in choices and great fresh fruit in an old style room. Convenient to station and easy access to trams to travel anywhere in Basel
