Steigenberger Grandhotel Belvedere  

I went to Run the Swiss Alpine Marathon, and This Hotel was right there.

Only complaint was that I requested quite room, It sure was that, Until last two days a young Family moved in upstairs, and I found the pita pata of little feet was not to my taste, especally early mornings, So the Sound Proofing of the floor could be better for a 5 Star Hotel. Otherwise Great.

Very comfortable certainly worth its five stars, staff excellent as were the facilities. If you are prepared to pay a bit more for a very relaxing stay then I would recommend it.

I would have liked some (free) bottled water & tea making facilities & fruit in the room, but this was a minor issue during a very enjoyable stay.

Location, with everything in one place E.G. gym, sauna, pool, spa.

Gym was very small and under equipped I.E. no free weights or 'Swiss' balls (ironically).

A truly superb Hotel. Would love to return in the Ski Season. Would recommend the local Monsteiner Beer, well worth a walk to the brewery.

Hotel is beautiful and staff were very helpful all making my stay a wonderful experience.

Amazing service

Excellent service and very friendly staff. A bit more expensive than other hotels but definitely a class higher than most of the 'standard' hotels i've stayed at in the Klosters/Davos area, or many Swiss hotels for that matter. Breakfast was great, spa and pool were great. We found a special last minute deal and on top of that we were upgraded to a mountain view room which was pretty spectacular. The Romeo and Julia restaurant is also something special, compared to the good , but monotonous typical Swiss food you get at Skiresorts.

The staff are brilliant, really friendly and helpful.

The walk up from the main stretch of town requires a bit of uphill effort (when you're carrying ski gear that can take a bit of energy) but there is a shuttle you can use and the public bus stop is only a few metres down the road.

Die Lage des Hotels ist gut. Die Mitarbeiter geben sich jede erdenkliche Mühe, die Wünsche der Gäste zu erfüllen. Das Essen im Restaurant "Romeo & Julia" ist ausgezeichnet.

Die Mitarbeiter sind überlastet, es gibt ganz offensichtlich zu wenige. Es drängt sich unter anderem im Bereich "Housekeeping" der Verdacht auf, daß unterbezahltes Personal eingesetzt wird.

Hotel hat alte ausstattung habe mich im zimmer wie in den 80er jahren gefühlt! So wie im ganzen hotel, es sollte mal saniert werden!

Normalerweise steigen wir nicht in 5 Sterne Hotels ab, aber hin und wieder genehmigen wir uns dies, wie auch an vergangenen Wochenende in Davos. Wir sind aber vollends enttäuscht vom ganzen Service und auch die Zimmer, welche einen stolzen Preis haben, sind es nicht wert. Wir werden das Hotel sicher nicht weiterempfehlen. Es scheint mehr und mehr, dass die CHer Hotellerie immer noch auf alten Lorbeeren ausruht und im Vergleich zu anderen Alpenländern, wie Oesterreich oder auch Deutschland, nicht das gleiche bieten kann und erst noch viel teuer ist. Fühlen uns als Schweizer ein wenig beschämt!
