Chesa Rosatsch Swiss Quality Hotel

Very friendly staff, good food and wine at the restaurant with a cozy fireplace. I stayed one night with my husband and a visiting friend in a lovely 2-room, 1 bathroom unit with balcony and a great view.

A coffee or tea maker in the room would have been nice (my friend who came from the U.S. was looking for it) but this is not typical in Swiss hotels anyway.

Clean, cute area/town, hiking, picked me up at train station, mostly very helpful, nice staff. Bad- was when I left, rude girl told me "It was "easy", traveling everywhere by train. She insulted me, and tried to use me to make herself feel better.I Had to come from Fredericksburg, by car, to Austin, To ny, to Zurich, to Gstaad, to Celerina, and now Luzern, then Lausanne, then France on and on, and I don't speak German...not "easy" at all! She was rude and stupid.

Felt cold to me- corporate, didn't like my room and was told I couldn't change it as it was "the only single room". It didn't feel warm and cozy and inviting, but cold and sterile - didn't sleep well there - also, could hear all noises from neighbors next door in adjoining room, like they were with me, and maids and other guests passing in halllway, as it was right next to me bed, as was door. Also, when I left - at about 11:00 am on Tuesday the 21st September, the girl who checked me out reprimanded me for not telling her earlier, when I told the girl who was there the night before. Then she took my train schedule, and put it in the envelope she put my bill in, without telling me, causing me to panick in the car, and run back in, in tears,

The staff was very pleasant, and we also liked the location.

Excellent warm atmosphere, very personal service with lots of attention to detail. Small enough to care, big enough to have invested in the facilities. There was not one member of staff that did not try to their best to make you feel at home and welcome. Great food too...

The room was a closet. We were told we were given run of the house and we had no idea this was the deal. There were no other rooms available....it was barely big enough for one person.

Very nice staff, Magdalena in the bar is outstanding! Hotel location is perfect for those who like cross-country skiing also.

Il personale è molto cortese, La stanza ampia, calda, accogliente e pulitissima. Il ristorante accogliente e a prezzo equo. Il parcheggio gratuito.

Grundsätzliche, nicht auf die Chesa Rosatsch bezogene Feststellung: Ich vermisse generell in Hotels das Bewusstsein, dass sowohl Singleferien wie solche zu zweit völlig gleichwertige Arten des Urlaubs sind. Oft gibt es keine Einzelzimmer. Das wiederum hat Auswirkungen auf den Preis, den ich als Alleinreisende bezahlen muss. Ab und an erhält man als Alleinreisende auch "Nebenräume", als wäre man nur Reisende zweiter Klasse. Das ist verletzend. Das Bewusstsein sollte in der Hotelleriebranche diesbezüglich unbedingt noch geschärft werden! Es gibt immer mehr Singles, die allein Ferien verbringen und nicht generell höhere Preise bezahlen möchten, weil keine entsprechenden Zimmer (2 Betten, 2 Lavabos, Grösse...) vorhanden sind.
