Stella Swiss Quality Hotel  

The room had a balcony. It was close to the train station. Staff was friendly.

Hotel was advertised as 4 star. Staying in a room which had the toilet sink outside of the bathroom was a total disappointment. Looking over the 4 star rating system (hotrec) nothing is mentioned of having all bathroom units in the same room. Being an Economic room doesn't excuse this. Even if the price is lower, adding some extra details of the layout of the rooms, on the website, would avoid false advertising as anybody in their right mind would think 4 stars means a high-quality layout of the room. During breakfast having to watch the leader of the staff walking around like he owned the place wasn't a pretty picture. He was all dressed up and giving a stark contrast against the normal staff uniform. If you want to talk with your staff do it in the privacy of a different room. Also it doesn't give out the right attitude when asking your clients if they slept well while the other clients are eating breakfast.

The staff was very nice. Breakfast was nice.

The breakfast buffet wasnt good enough. The facility in the room was not good enough , the elevator stopped in the middle when we were going to our room.

Though the rooms can be improved, the hotel staff is very friendly and caring.

This is a bit far from the station. The hotel does not offer any pickup or drop facilities from the station. Hence if you are traveling with a big Luggage, it is a big trouble walking with it from the station.

They have a nice indoor pool! And the location is very centralized to everything in town. Nice front desk people, easy going atmosphere....no problems!

I ONLY thing I didn't like was the fact that the hotel address on the internet says "10" for street number but it is actually "4". We walked up and down the street 4x times before we found the hotel, thinking that "10" was the street number. This is not the hotel's fault but it needs to be corrected!

Breakfast was nice (not great though).

1. No free wifi 2. very very small rooms 3. small lift 4. staff not so friendly. 5. some smell in the rooms. 6. too small bathrooms... 7. certainly not a 4 star property. 8. not great location either... There are much better hotels in Interlaken at this price. 9. certainly not value for money.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is conveniently located a short walk from the Interlaken West train station and many restaurants. The pool was a great way to cool down after a hot day hiking in the mountains. The bread at breakfast was delicious. Our room was very spacious. I would stay there again.

The way in which the hotel charges for use of wireless Internet is rather outdated. For example, if we paid for 24 hours we could only log in once during that 24 hour period (i.e. had to stay online for 24 hours).We would have been willing to pay for genuine 24 hour access if it was available. If I pay for Internet access for a period (2 hours, 5 hours, 24 hours) I should be able to log in more than once during that period, so that was a bit of a nuisance when we were trying to plan our days out. Although these days why charge at all for wireless internet access! The bed was rather short if you are above 5ft 8", although otherwise comfy.

Excellent welcoming staff. Superb food. Large pleasant swimming pool.

The room lacked air conditioning and was hot. Opening the doors to the balcony meant there was traffic noise in the morning.

The front desk staff were very friendly. They met my requests for them to store my backpack and be allowed to use the pool change room to change in the early afternoon after checking out.

For such a nice hotel their bathroom towels were of a lower quality compared to the mid-range North American hotels I frequent as a business traveller. I would recommend that they upgrade to thicker bath towels if possible.

The hotel is not far from the Interlaken West station and around 10 min walk from the Interlaken Ost station. The room was quite spacious and the staff was friendly and helped us with most of our queries.

The pool was supposed to be heated however we could not make use of it since the water was very cold. The variety of breakfast was limited. Apart from that if we wanted bacon or scrambled eggs we had to cook them ourselves. Given that it is a 4 star hotel and not a cheap one we expected it to be better. The restaurant is also a bit on the expensive side for Swiss standards.

We had a 2-room Jr. suite which was quite spacious with 1 and a half baths, a comfortable bed, and living room with a fold-out couch at a very reasonable price. The entire facility was clean and nicely maintained, with some of the most gracious staff we encountered in 12 day trip to Switzerland, which included 4 nights at a 5-star hotel in Montreux. The breakfast buffet was included and was quite extensive,, plus we had the lunch buffet upon arrival and it was also well prepared.

The actual building is rather modern and not that attractive, but don't let that stop you from staying at this hotel!

The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Dinner at the hotel was also fantastic!!! 5-7 minute walk from the bus terminal.

The room we were given had 5 of 9 lights burnt out -- 5 of 6 on the main lamp used to light the room from the entry switch -- making it very dim. The staff did provide a second lamp at my request. Additionally, I would not recommend this hotel for taller guests, as both my wife and myself found the bed too short (and we're both 5 ft 8 in / 1.72 meters) for a comfortable night's sleep.
