Only location, nothing else. A lot. The staff attitude was not good. No air cond but the hotel closes to the main street, very noisy and hot. I won't choose this hotel again. |

The location of the hotel across the street from the station was excellent. It was handy for most functions in central Lucerne The interior decor is cold and modernistic, belying its beautiful exterior architecture. There are two types of hotel staff, those who just do their job, and those who welcome you and give you the impression they really are keen to help you. Unfortunately the Waldstaetterhof staff fell into the former category |

Staff is very nice, helpful. The room is ok size with balcony and amazing view. Shower, bed, etc are all good size, not too small. Location is perfect for Grindelwald stay. The room smells old and stuffy. |

The location was excellent, breakfast was very good and the hotel staff were very courteous and spoke excellent English. When the windows were closed, it was very quiet. They had black out blinds on the windows, which worked great. No air conditioning....they had fans, but it was stuffy in the rooms. We could not open windows at night because of the street noise. |

The room was really spacious and nice. The location is very near to the station and some of the attractions. The staff are very friendly and are good communicators in English. Getting our tickets to the various attractions at just the reception helps a great deal! Breakfast was a good spread and one of the best we had encountered in this trip so far. There's no air con, while I understand that the temperature in Lucerne was cool even in summer, it can get unbearably stuffy and hot during raining time where the windows had to be closed to prevent the rain from coming in. One fan was not enough to circulate the air in the room properly. |

Across the street from Train station. Easy ride into Zurich to catch morning flight. Lots of shopping within close proximity, not that we could afford the prices. Had an internet kiosk available. Prices are pretty steep. Breakfast wasn't available until 6:30AM. I think a lot of people who need to catch flights in Zurich were disappointed in that little detail. Starbucks wasn't any better either as they didn't open until 6:30. Had to get breakfast at the train station. |

Well situated in the city center, opportunity to park the car, clean room, and very spacious. The staff limited themselves to just what is needed. Nothing really to assist in the stay and the visit of the city. Rather noisy rooms and street noise |

Easy walk from the train station. Room was clean and comfortable, except for the lack of air conditioning. This forced us to open the window which was opposite a noisy night club open until 5. Not a good location if you want to sleep-especially on a Friday or Saturday night. |

Great location, next to train station and central to Lucerne. Helpfull reception staff, who spoke english. No fridge in room. Milk powder is terrible for making coffee. In a heat wave, no way to escape the heat with no aircon. (Probably only a few weeks a year). The keyring thing is massive. Its like a weapon. |

The Monopol Swiss Quality Hotel is the architecturally most fascinating hotel in Lucerne, resembling Parisian or Viennese palaces of the 19th century, and can be found right at the train station. |
The budget place to stay at the riverside with the mountain view. Our hotel is situated in the old town of Lucerne only a few minutes from the station, the lake and the shopping area. |
300 metres from the lake, 5 minutes from the A2 highway exits Zentrum (centre) and Süd (south) and a 10-minute walk from the train station, this is a convenient and cosy place to stay. |
The hotel is located near the river Reuss, in the middle of the historical old town and the traffic free shopping area close to the famous Lucerne Wooden Bridge. |
