Score from 267 reviews Good
Location. Decor. Breakfast.
Unhelpful staff. Uncomfortable bed and pillows. Expensive for very basic hotel.
I was suprised, the hotel room was bigger as expected (with 2 baths and a integrated kitchen). With 3 balconies and a beautiful view to the mountains. The Staff is very kind and servicial. I did not had dinner at its restaurant but we heared the dishes should be very good. Very well located, 10 min walk in to the downtown. For ththoseose who will go skiskiing the SiSignal-Bahn is about 5 to 10 minutes further with equipment rental stores also close.
Prices of course, but thats normal anywhere in Switzerland.
Nice furnishings and atmosphere in bar and restaurant Balcony Good shower/ new bathroom lots of wardrobe space
Breakfast disappointing - no eggs Pillows very uncomfortable
The location is excellent, literally across the street from the bus stop which takes you to the gondola or the main town. Super convenient! The standard room was spacious by European standards and everything was brand new. Great shower and water pressure. The sauna/spa area was small but adequate and also brand new. The lobby and breakfast area were also nice and newly appointed. This is not a 5 star hotel but I chose it because of the proximity to the slopes and the fact that it has been recently renovated. I would definitely stay again at the Hotel Piz.
The beds are too hard, and the pillows are too soft (like previous reviews). The front desk staff are not very friendly and did not always have accurate information.
Lock up time - no standby staff after 12.
Room was comfortable. Pizza restaurant downstairs is great for dinner Breakfast was delicious Bus stop right outside the hotel
Charged additional for baby cot (did not have this anywhere else in Switzerland) Receptionist was rude and not knowledgable about local attractions Hotel is a walk from the main part of town (but there is a bus outside)
Hotel building was nice, location easily accessible via bus from train station, close to lake
English-speaking guests are barely tolerated, you basically have to beg and plead for service at the front desk and restaurant
The Hotel is very charming, has a nice bar and a very good staff. The room and the bathroom were very good. I recommend !!!
The pilows could be better. I've booked a double bed, but the room has 2 single beds side by side. The heating could not be controlled in the room. The temperature could be lower.
Location was good near the city center, hotel seems to have been recently completely renovated. It is in very good condition. The restaurant and bar are excellent and serve typical food from the region at reasonable prices.
Lady at front desk (all three days) was not very friendly, the rest of the staff was.
Well located with a short walk to the town centre and lake, staff very friendly and helpful, room was very comfortable, restaurant was good and it was lovely to sit downstairs by the wood fire.
The room was very warm so I had the window open and there were noisy deliveries from 4.30 am onwards. If you are a light sleeper I would recommend requesting a room the other side.
Bed is comfortable. Breakfast spread is good.
Staff not really friendly. Location slightly far from the town center n main shopping area.
No difference with train, ropeway, and the hotel in the point of height. We can easily walk to ropeway
No tables in the room.
Very friendly staff, great hotel in a good location.
good location, the bus stop is in front of the hotel and there is COOP near the hotel. the hotel has good fascilities; kitchen
Our meal at the restaurant was very good.
Our room was too hot and too noisy so we got little sleep. No air-con means you have no way of cooling the room except opening all the windows and letting all the traffic noise from the street in. Pillows were much too soft for comfortable sleep.
From the train station to the hotel, it takes roughly 20 mins by walk. Staffs are friendly. Nothing to complain about the internet and breakfast.
Everything Such a beautiful place The lady in the breakfast room was very friendly Close to lake for walks Bus stops right outside Free pass to lifts/bus if you stay more than one night.
Nothing at all, thankfully we only stayed 2 Nights
The noise from the building work right next door , the noise from the road, the lack of air con,the fact the hotel is totally unmanned at night ,and street access is accessible all night, the lack of lighting in the room . I could go on !!
From location to endearingly warm staff. ... Everyt thing
Very cute, well decorated, extremely clean. Hotel restaurant was very good with good service and reasonable prices. Bus and lift pass included with 2 nights stay.
Room was a bit small, not much closet space.
breakfast should be earlier
Location - near the lake. Helpful(ish) reception staff Bar staff on second day (man) was lovely Use of free bus / train / gondola tickets was good
Bar staff on first night (woman) spent most of her time talking with friends on the street and hotel guests made to feel a nuisance. Waitress at breakfast could be described as surly at best. Things improved so obviously on the second day of our stay - the owner / senior manager appeared to be visiting. Pillows were much too soft
