The Hotel  

Very nice special feeling as soon as you enter the hotel. My Suit room on 6th floor is cozy and the bathrooms are super clean, which is very hard to maintain a white bathroom. Had a great size balcony over looking the park. The hotel staff were excellent, made us feel at home. Location is just off the busy road, so it is super quite. Nice coffe shop under the tree in the park opposite the hotel

Front desk staff is very friendly and prompt.

Room was very dark. The design by Jean Nouvel in 30 x 10 feet strip seems modern but you do not feel energetic or positive being in there.

As usual, top level front desk staff, unbelievably professional and friendly. As usual, too, I stayed for dinner at the hotel's own Asian/fusion restaurant downstairs. Lovely food & service again (but please do leave guests their choice of table if the place is nearly empty - and will stay so for the rest of the evening, due to low season ;o) ).

A slight loss of excellency at the bar/lounge. Unwinding at the end of the work day with some loungey background music and a drink or two is difficult while the headwaiter (?) is holding a loud and endless monologue speech to one guest sitting at the bar (instead of being attentive to potential new orders by other guests).

Friendliness of staff. Many knew our name even just shortly after arriving. Room was immaculately maintained, twice a day, and staff were totally discreet - room was always made up when we were out. Were not disturbed once by any staff member requiring access to the room. Food at the Bam Bou restaurant was simply amazing!

Designer room seemed a bit spartan at first, but it grew on us and actually we really liked it after the first night, once we got the hang of light switches and blind controls etc. However, I would have really liked some drawer space for my clothes. Perhaps minimalism has been taken a little too far?

A bit pricey.

The hotel staff was the best i have ever experienced, they were always smiling and trying to make your stay more comfortable. location was as you can get, 2 mins walk to schwizerhof hotel where all the riverside restaurants and bars and boat rides are, 1 min to hauptbahnof and a park in front of the hotel where you can play chess with your son or walk with your wife. Bars all round the park.

Der freundliche Empfang gibt dem etwas kühlen Empfangsraum Wärme. Das Lichtkonzept ist spannend, die Lounge sehr angenehm, schöne Musik, angenehmer Service.

Très bel hotel aménagé par Jean Nouvel. Nous avons eu comme chambre, celle avec les murs noirs, le lit et le mobilier rouge, thème de la chambre le film "el matador". Expérience interessante pour une nuit... Se réjouit d'y retourner une prochaine fois mais dans une chambre avec des murs de couleurs. A apprecié la nuit tombée, tous les différentes scènes de film qu'on peut admirer au plafond des differentes chambres vues depuis l'extérieur.

Le restaurant de l'Hotel, le Bam Bou, très beau design mais la nourriture sans plus...
