Staff were very helpful-nothing was too much trouble. Kids loved the duvets and pillows and are still talking about it. The breakfast was delightful. We have fond memories of Tschuggen. A beautifully presented mountain chalet. The fact that we had parking onsite was essential. It would be helpful to turn it into a self catering apartment as it would lend itself to this ie put in a simple oven, cooktop, fridge and sink, and washing machine for clothes. An iron and ironing board would have been useful. |

The warmest welcome possible, great views, great breakfast and a remarkable shower. Also a unique and clever security system. All in all excellent value for money, would definitely go back. |

Very convenient for station and centre of the village. Good breakfast. Quite friendly. Helpful staff. There was a very noisy bar next door, which kept me awake, as we had a room on the street side of the hotel. Next time, I would take a room at the back of the hotel. |

Very helpful and nice host. They helped us to carry our heavy luggage upstair and we felt so friendly every morning that they blessed us having a nice day. Excellent view from our room balcony. Location is good. Breakfast is simple but really delicious bread. The pillows are not so comfortable but I don't care. |

Tschuggen, 200 meters from the Grindelwald train station, is an ideal location for all your mountain hiking activities. The hotel offers a full continental breakfast, and has WiFi. Ask for a balcony view facing the Eiger, and you won’t go wrong. In fact, my wife and I used room’s balcony during dinner; buy your local meals from the supermarket across the street and eat in your private balcony with the countryside arrayed out before you. Then sleep deep in their nice comfy down filled duvets after hiking on Grindelwald’s famous wanderwegs. Spotty WiFi; their D-Link router keeps dropping its Internet Protocol signal and you can’t surf. The staff had to reboot the router a lot. |

The staff were very helpful and the location was quite central and we had a room with a view. I felt that the breakfast could perhaps been a little more varied. |

The view from our balcony of the Eiger during our few days stay here was the highlight of all the accommodation on our 3 week tour this Summer. This hotel is in prime location in Grindelwald, which in itself is a great town to stay for exploring the beautiful mountain scenery in this area. We were here for 3 nights and I would have happily stayed for much longer. This hotel is admittedly not cheap for a poor UK traveller this year but in this instance I would say you get what you pay for. |

Not luxurious but comfortable enough to stay for a family with a small child. Breakfast is also nice. The location is perfect in the midst o f the high street of the village between the railway station and the lift station to First. It seems most of rooms have nice a mountain view but ours does not. If this aspect is shown in the booking stage, it should be valuable. |

Close proximity to the countryside whilst being in the heart of Grindelwald. The double bedroom with the attached smaller bedroom with bunk bed suited our family of four. Should have had some tea/coffee making facilities in the room. |

Convienently located a short walk from the train station in the center of the village. Nice breakfast. Thin floors above meant we heard footsteps above our room. |

South facing mountain view of the Eiger was stunning, and central location to good choice of local restraurants was excellent. The hotel was also only 5 minutes walk from the train station. No, I would definately recommend this hotel and the village of Grindelwald as a very good base for accessing the area. |

The 4-star family Hotel Spinne is located at the foot of the Eiger, right in the centre of the glacier village Grindelwald. Most of the rooms have a balcony or terrace offering superb mountain views. |
