The hotel is centrally located and surrounded by a large park. You will find a cheerful and familiar atmosphere combined with best Swiss hotel tradition. The hotel includes a number of facilities for all interests. For those looking for an active break there is a tennis court, swimming pool and biking and skiing is available in the surrounding area. We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. Above all the members of staff in reception and in the restaurant and bistro were always helpful, pleasant and caring. The daily dinner menus were varied and of pleasing quality We received helpful advice when planning walks in the Kandersteg area.

Very comfortable room - we were given an unexpected free up-grade to the "penthouse" in one of the chalets in the park, which was great. Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. We had our evening meal à la carte in the restaurant a few evenings and it was always very good (portions too large sometimes). The location was wonderful, with mountains on 3 sides and plenty of opportunity for walking - both long-distance or shorter more local walks for the not-so energetic. Lake Thun and Brienz and Interlaken and the Jungfrau are in easy reach, by train (half - 3/4 hour or so) or by car for non-walkers who ejnoy a bit of sightseeing. All in all we had a great time and would certainly come back to this hotel again.

De uitstraling van een hotel uit de vorige eeuw vooral van buiten. Ze zijn bezig Alles te moderniseren. Uitstekend hotel en oplettend personeel.

J'ai apprécié la disponibilité et la gentillesse du personnel ainsi que leur maitrise de plusieurs langues mettant le client très à l'aise . La situation de l'hôtel en face des reliefs montagneux est un plus. On peut également féliciter le chef en cuisine, on s'est régalé.

Da wir uns sehr kurzfristig entschieden haben, war es sehr angenehm überaus freundlich, zuvorkommend und erst noch vom Chef persönlich begrüsst zu werden. Auch der Hinweis auf das eigene Restaurant und die Möglichkeit einen Tisch reservieren zu lassen hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Restaurant war ein Hit und das angebotene Essen sehr, sehr gut und überaus grosszügige Portionen. Wir haben die nette und familiäre Atmosphäre sehr genossen und war mehr als nur überrascht wie die Gäste sehr persönlich und in ihrer Sprache bedient worden sind. Eine wahre Freude! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Interessantes Menukonzept, hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt. Reichhaltiges, schön präsentiertes Frühstücksbuffet. Fruendliche unkomplizierte Gastgeber. Schöne Terrasse, viele Nebenräume zum "Sein". Lese, Spielzimmer, Pool, Sauna

Excellent restaurant L'hôtel a un sérieux besoin de raffraichissement. Le mobilier des chambres est plus qu'amorti. On est en plein dans les années 60.

The view from my window, the breakfast, 5 mins from train station. The military practice for hours on Sat afternoon that you can hear around Kandersteg. Who knows why they thought shooting that echoes a million times from mountain to mountain is a good idea in a resort?! For fear of a repeat of such war atmosphere during a holiday I would not return or recommend to others the experience. Obviously nothing to do with the hotel as such.

Hotel liegt sehr zentral, Personal ist sehr freundlich, Halbpension ist sehr gut und preiswert, Sauna ist klein aber fein. Hallenbad und Zimmer sind zwar sauber, sollten aber renoviert werden.

ein Hotel im alten Stil und gewissem Charme, würde aber stellenweise eine Renovation vertragen. Zimmer sauber, hell, ruhig (wir hatten ein Zimmer hinten raus). Freundliches Personal, prima Lage. Das Essen im à la carte-Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen, nicht wahnsinnig günstig, aber Preis-Leistung stimmt.
