The owners are wonderfully cheerful, pleasant and outgoing (but not to a fault). The location is near, and convenient to hiking trails and the train (but not adjacent to the train.) The restaurant is truly outstanding. The hotel has excellent common spaces including a game room, sitting room, pool and spa. (You'll need a PhD to figure out the steam bath) Do not get the lowest-priced room (as we did) because the bathroom is pretty basic and small. |

We had a very nice room with mountain view, but some rooms were not so great... We received very poor advice about hiking times and difficulty from desk staff. |

Location; ambience; excellent facilities. Our room in the Ritter was gloomy; bathroom very dark and gloomy. The grounds seemed to be lacking attention. The photographs of the grounds in the publicity brochure indicated well-manicured parklands with sun loungers, umbrellas etc, but this is not the case. |

Da ich schon mehrfach in der Vergangenheit im Hotel Ritter übernachtet habe, bin ich vom sehr guten Service und der angenehmen Atmosphäre ausgegangen und nicht enttäuscht worden. Das Mobiliar ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und insgesamt würde dem Hotel eine Renovierung des Flügels, in dem wir übernachtet haben, nicht schaden. |

Hartelijke ontvangst,attente bediening.Ruime kamer,uitstekende bedden. Ook de maaltijden (ontbijt en diner) vielen erg goed mee.Kortom:een kort maar aangenaam verblijf.Het is weliswaar een oud gebouw,maar dat betekent ook erg veel ruimte voor alle gasten.Goede infrastructuur. |

Das Essen und die Bedienung im Restaurant Ritter war recht gut. An der Rezeption musste wir immer ziemlich lange warten! Der Preis für das Zimmer ist übertrieben, denn das Zimmer ist hellhörig, ungepflegt. Die Dusche hatte zu wenig Druck. Eine Steckdose fällt aus der Wand und überhaupt wirkte das Zimmer ungepflegt. Dieses Hotel kann nicht empfohlen werden! |

Vriendelijke bediening, robuust hotel. We hebben er prima gegeten (wel beetje aan de prijs, vier personen drie gangen € 200) en goed geslapen. Prima locatie in combinatie met de autotrein (Kanderstegg - Goppenstein/Isele) naar of van Italië. Prijs is voor "overnachting onderweg" aan de stevige kant. |

L'accueil, la disponibilité et le professionnalisme des collaborateurs. Il y règne une atmosphère est très agréable agrémentée par l''exposition d'oeuvres d'artistes locaux. Le restaurant propose une cuisine excellente. |

Sa situation au coeur de Kandersteg en fait un lieu de résidence idéal.Très belle salle de restaurant au charme désuet du début du 20ème siècle. Notre chambre (223) était meublée de façon plus que spartiate, les meubles semblaient provenir d'un vide-grenier, table, bureau tout abimés et pleins de taches, une honte pour un tel hotel. La salle de bains très ancienne était entièrement recouverte de linoleum, du sol aux murs, de couleur marron foncé et avec un seul éclairage sur l'armoire au-dessus du lavabo. De même, le bac de douche avec un rideau usagé n'invitait guère à y passer plus de quelques minutes... |
