Good location, Lugano center is only 10 minutes walk. Friendly staff. Clean. Somewhat interesting interior design, poor breakfast. |

We enjoyed the antique furnishings and history associated with the hotel. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do and see in Lugano. We had a great view of the lake. The breakfast was adequate in a dining area with interesting decor. Parking was available and not too far from the hotel, but access was difficult as you had to have a key from the hotel for the garage elevators. |

The room had a large bathtub and a great view of lake Lugano. The breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake was also very nice. The front desk service on arrival was not very friendly but later in the day and when I checkout it was very good. The hotel is a bit tired as some reviewers have put it and dark. |

Friendliness of the staff and nice lake view There was noise at night coming from downstairs - there is a ballroom and there was a show going on during our stay. The rooms have carpets and this jeopardize the proper cleaness. During breakfast there were no fruits. |

Good food in the restaurant. Very friendly staff. View from the breakfast terrace was amazing. Missing on the breakfast table: fruit, egg and youghurt. |

Very nice location Must be refurbished immediately. When i was in the toilette a man entered to my room and he was weird. He said im controlling. but what? weird. |

We really enjoyed the view and having breakfast on the balcony. The location was good, within walking distance of town. We sat in the restaurant in the evening having drinks and watching the Olympics. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good for a continental style. We plan on staying again. The shower head in our room was broke off so tricky showering and bathing at the same time. |

The view from the balcony is fabulous. The night club was empty and seedy. The music played until 5 am even when empty.the bath was 3/4 size and therefore too small to bathe in and the shower was hand held therefore too difficult to wash and condition hair without getting everything else in the bath room soaking wet.the decor was dated and tasteless. There was only one plug in our room and the fridge was plugged into that. Noisy. |

The lady who checked us in was friendly and helpful. However, seems she was the only good staff among the front desk. We have asked for a wake up call but nobody called us. We were almost missed our train to the next destination and no time to have breakfast on that morning. Very upset. |

The location is excellent, right on the Lake with beautiful views and walking path. The hotel is quite dated (and a little funky) in its decor, and looks more like a 2 star hotel, but is nevertheless very clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities, including cable tv, hairdryers, in room safe, mini bar, room service. The bed was very comfortable. The restaurants were nice. There is no internet available in the rooms. The staff was not very service oriented. |
