I didn't like the fact that they charge extra for the parking lot, although the rooms were somehow too expensive for a four star hotel. I found it a disgrace.
In the spa area, there was too much light, no ambient antmosphere and no decoration. The facilities were also somewhat old and the IKEA sideboard for the towels made them look cheap. They were serving hot boiling tee in plastic (!!) containers, which is extremely toxic and normal water was outside the spa aera. I found it by chance...
I also had a pedicure for 80 CHF without colour, that lasted only 25 minutes, instead of 50, as written in the menu. There was no electrical spinning buffer, no special cuticle removal products, the treatment was totally manual and the result unprofessional. With such a price that suits Zürich and not Lugano, I expected more than just warm water for the softening of the feet and some ordinary cream at the end.
The prices of their restaurant were also insane high, with the portions too small and the varieaty not large enough.
All in all, they were trying to present themselves as luxurius, with marble everywere and so, but the details make the difference.
I have to confess that the view and the gym were great. The staff was also very friendly and helpful both at the reception and at the restaurant.
