The staff was so sweet and friendly + helpful. Amazing beds and quiet surroundings.
There was a lot of annoying flies.
Its a nice hotel. Well kept and full of details that make a difference. The yard and gardens for one. The cooking was excellent.
I will not go to this hotel, Don't take it.
the staff was very kind and hospitable
Very beautifully situated with a gorgeous view of the Alps. Clean comfortable beds. The breakfast, though simple, was tasty. The gardens are gorgeous, including the grapes hanging over the arbor leading you to the entrance - very beautiful.
Owner who did not make us feel welcome and complained about every little thing - including taking the napkin out from under a basket of bread. She was somewhat cordial but we had the distinct impression she thought we were primitive barbarians and was barely tolerating us rather than appreciating our business, considering we were paying a large sum of money per night to stay there. Everything was a big deal and she always had things to do before she could help us - she seemed overwhelmed by the running of her establishment. Basically doesn't speak English - primarily speaks German.
View from window, you can see lake Lugano, swimming pool.
The hotel is old and not clean, has old and dusty furniture, beds are not comfortable, smells also like old, stuff is half-frienldy, breakfast is terrible! For 3 people exactly 3 slieces ham and cheese, a cup of coffee... a bit of marmalade :-((( If you would like to have some dinner you have to make a place reservation in advance, otherwise you will go to bed with empty stomache, because there no restaurants not far away, you have to walk circa 20-30 min to the center mountain down, and then you have to walk the whole distance back, but up the mountain! And you must try to find the way to the hotel, waht is not so easy... For this price the hotel is too expensive, it schould cost max 80 € for everything... :-((( Unfortunately was not the best experience...
1)The entry - a gravel walkway down a slight incline beneath a fully covered grape arbor. 2)a flower filled garden with tables and comfortable chairs amid grape vines with lights hidden within that came on as it grew dark.
