Located a 2-minute walk from the historic center of Ascona, Ville La Perla is surrounded by a lush garden. It offers free Wi-Fi in public areas and a breakfast. The La Perla restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner either indoors or on the beautiful terrace overlooking the grounds and Lake Maggiore. All bright rooms provide cable TV, a bathroom and a desk. Some also provide DVD and CD players. I will never have to visit this place again.. Dr Peter J Stevens. This Villa is owned and run by the Hotel Perla. The website for this villa is full of information about the hotel none of which applies to the villa. There is no wifi, there was no on site breakfast , no light in the bathroom, no shower facility etc etc. I consider the advertising misleading and verging on the fraudulent. This owner has three other villas which presumably are all subject to the same fraudulent claims. The breakfast available in the main hotel, 5 minutes walk away was appalling. The Hotel Perla is also in a poor state of repair, health and safety features are entirely absent. Perhaps the owner thinks his guests will only visit once and he is right. A disgrace. Ruhige Lage Die sanitären Einrichtungen waren sehr veraltet. Bei der Dusche kam kaum Wasser und man konnte gar nicht recht mischen. Einmal kam es Kalt dann wieder Heiss. Dafür war der Preis zu hoch.

Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett. Für unser Anspruch genügte es, das ganze Haus sollte aber wieder einmal renoviert werden (aussen) die Zimmer wurden ja schon.

Die Lage, die Aussicht Leider konnte kein Frühstück abgegeben werden, weil etwas mit der Küche nicht in Ordnung war. Ich hätte eine vorherige Meldung via Mail erwartet, und nicht erst nach der Ankunft. So hätten wir eventuell eine Umbuchung in ein anderes Hotel vornehmen können.Wir mussten in ein anderes Hotel essen gehen. Zudem sind die Wasserhähne im Badezimmer ziemlich verkalt. Ich hatte sehr viel Mühe diese zu öffnen und zu schliessen. Teilweise musste ich ein Handtuch zur Hilfe nehmen.Für jemand der nicht genügend Kraft hat, ist das ziemlich beschwerlich.

Hervorragendes Essen v.a. variabel. Schöne Lage, Blick auf Berge und See. In der kühlen Jahreszeit sind die Heizkörper nicht gut einstellbar, Energieschleuder (nur einfach verglaste Fenster).

Das Zimmer war extrem klein und hatte eine Dachschräge so, dass man im Badezimmer nicht mal aufrecht stehen konnte (selbst bei einer Grösse von 1.60m). Zudem war es extrem kalt, da sehr schlecht isoliert.

In der Nähe des Zentrums und Lido sowie öffentliche Verkehrsmittel. Das Parkplatzangebot ist schlecht. Die Parkplätze sind zu eng und der Raum um das Auto zu wenden ist ungenügend. Das Hotel würde ich nicht weiterempfehlen bei Freunden mit Anreise per Auto.

Da Hotel aus vielen Teilkomplexen an unterschiedlicher Lage besteht, fällt Beurteilung auch unterschiedlich aus. Unser Zimmer (61) bestach durch sehr ruhige Lage und war besonders geeignet für uns als Reisende mit Hund.

Gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis (Aktion), freundliches Personal, gute, ruhige Lage, Nähe zum Zentrum, preisgünstige Menüs, vielfältiges Frühstücksbuffet, preisgünstiger Parkplatz beim Hotel. Komfortables Dreibett-Zimmer, modern eingerichtete Dusche/Toilette.

Das grosse Zimmer und der superschöne Balkon gegen den See. Da war es egal, dass das Bad nicht im Zimmer war. Das Personal war ausserordentlich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das an und für sich schöen Frühstücksbuffet war für die später Frühstückenden schon ziemlich leergefegt (beim Käse fast nur noch Rinde). Das war schade.
