Walhalla Hotel  

Handy for the train stationbut also not too far from bars and restaurants in the town. It was opposite a bus/coach park but there was no noise (we had the windows closed). Where we have stayed in Zurich in the past were much more expensive, so we stopped going, we would stay here again.

Room was very clean and comfortable.

I was travelling by train from UK to Italy and so the location of the hotel was perfect for my purposes, being so close to the station. I have stayed in the hotel on three occasions and each time I have found it to be excellent. Despite being in the city, it is quiet and relaxing. I am a light sleeper but was not disturbed by traffic outside or by the comings and goings of other guests. The breakfast room is light and airy and there was a good selection of food available. The person making the coffees and teas did everything with a lovely smile. The two members of staff who were working at reception were both very helpful. What more could one want?

It was so easy to get to from the train station (right across the street) and within easy walking distance to Lake Zurich. The fact that the tour buses were right across the street was a wonderful bonus too. The staff were very helpful with booking our tour and we would recommend this hotel to our friends.

Just next to Main Station, very convenience. Reasonable price compared with others in Zurich.

My room suffered badly from street noise over the night and morning. Only simple breakfast provided.

We wanted a cheap hotel close to the station for the .weekend. It was really good value for the money - very helpful staff, great location etc. we had been to zurich before and now wish we had found this hotel instead of the other, more expensive, less well-located hotels. Will recommend to friends in the future.

Location, cleanliness, friendliness, efficiency.

Excellent location. All the sights are within walking distance and the bus trips leave from across the road! The staff couldn't be more helpful. The breakfast was extensive and varied and again the staff was very helpful. Given how expensive Zurich is it is good value.

Not the hotel's fault but the parking is a problem. Ask the staff for guidance. We were in the top floor and, even though is was winter, it got quite hot sometimes.

Good location - next to the railway station, which gave quick exit to the city

Very thin walls - I could hear tv in neigbours room an them talking, though not very loudly. Also my windows were to the road, and though I saw the river, when trams were going the room was kinda shaking - and of course I could hear and feel them until late at night and from the early morning

Clean, near station

We had to change from double room to triple room, because we have an 11 yo. boy. ( 2 adult 1 child). Other hotel did not ask me to do this.
