Spectacular setting, right on the lake--all rooms have views and many have balconies. Terrific views and great people watching. Really one of the best hotel experiences we've had. Not a thing--wonderful staff, great breakfasts and views "to die for" |

The room had a superb view of the lake, and all facilities. It was a small single room but very neat. The hotel itself is quite old (nineteenth century) and keeps that charm to the present. The hotel is on the main promenade and the traffic can get quite loud. However, with double glazing and full drop down shutters its bearable. |

The location was nice and easy to reach from Lugano Station. The price is too expensiv if compared to hotel's facilities and the quality of the room,. |

We loved having a balcony and it was good to be able to make a cup of tea. The breakfast was also ery good. We found the rooms very small and cramped. |

amazing view- we stayed in room 66 and we could practically see all the lake! And, although it was freezing outside, the room was very comfortably heated. Excellent! and as far as cleanliness is concerned, it was impecable, honestly spotless! Based on what it is offering, 134 euro per night for a double room is a little bit higher than what it's worth. I think that 100 euros would suffice. Also, poor amenities. |

Staff was accomodating and attentive After 10 days the breakfast selection got a bit tiring, but overall the location and the selections were good. Balconies were great. |

We have been to Switzerland about 15 times, and of those, to Lugano about 14 so I think we can say with some authority that this hotel is one of the better 3 star establishments in the city. The creature comforts include even a kettle and tea/coffee in the room, which is a nice touch and not often found in Switzerland. The staff were in the main helpful, and the breakfasts were more than adequate. I am mildly asthmatic and to find the temperature setting was permanently set at 21c seemed to nullify, in our view, the whole point of airconditioning. Light sleepers might find the location next to a main thoroughfare a problem; we didn't! |

The location is amazing and the staff was nice. The room was just terrible. The shower, the bed... The deco is from the 70's and its just really old. I would never recommend this Hotel. |

We liked the view of the lake and the roof top terrace. Breakfasts were nice. The rooms were comfortable with a sofa and chairs, the bathroom was large, spotlessly clean and modern. A kettle and selection of teas was provided in our room. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and there was free access to the internet in the first floor sitting/reading room. |

This is a great hotel. Must have balcony with view of the lake. Roof top jacusi in the morning was fantastic. Great breakfast. Great location. No parking. They have some spaces in the square but you have to book in advance. Otherwise all is perfect. |

Good position overlooking the lake, and the Old Town behind. Right in the middle of Lugano so could be abit noisy, with major road between hotel and lake, otherwise excellebnt position. Although the hotel was adequate, the bedrooms and interior could do with painting.. The restaurant attached to the hotel was not that good, but that did not really matter as there were plenty of reasonable near by. |
