Very poor breakfast - not worth 4star hotel

The service of the hotel staff made us feel very comfortable. The room was clean and well-equipped.

Right in the heart of the old town district - could walk everywhere

Our room's decor was very tired and worn.

Everything was really OK, but I didn't spent too much time to have a deeper opinion

The bar downstairs was very noisy throughout the night.

The breakfast is wonderful, the terrace where they hold the breakfast is beautiful, the location is very convenient

horrible attitudes from the hotel staff (very rude and not friendly most of the time), also not familiar with any restaurant/shops/entertainment around this area, every time we ask a question of the hotel staff, they don't know; the room too small, very loud in the evening from the street, no air conditioning, shabby lobby

No air conditioning, which mad for an uncomfortable stay. Off season the room would be fine, I am sure.

I had chosen a rather pricey suite for my family as i was getting it cheap from booking.com. My friends said i was paying too much for a night. But I can now proudly say i made the right decision as throughout my stay in Switzerland, this hotel was the best. The location over-seeing the old town of Zurich, the amicable staff, the beautiful room and the best continental break-fast are the reasons one should go there. The rooms are a bit pricey but then it has a class.

The room which was on display on booking.com for my room was not the one which was in actual. When i enquired about the same in the reception, they were clueless and said that was the best available room. However they were very kind enough to change the room for me to a better one.

The Hotel location is excellent,close to shopping transport and cafe/restaurant nightlife.The room was clean, large with good level of services and facilities (ie Plasma tv, internet,minibar etc).The staff were attentive and prompt to my requests.

The only thing that could be improved is the fresh air supply in the bedroom and the mechanical ventilation in the bathroom.There is no airconditioning in the Hotel except in suites,reception and the breakfast room and on the really hot days this is a problem.

Its centrality, both for walking the Lower (Old) Town and proximity to transport and a wide variety of restaurants. Notwithstanding the abundant nightlife, the room was also extremely quiet (5th Floor). The restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating.

An occasional perceived brusqueness when communicating: after all, I was making the effort to speak German, and if my partner was speaking English more or less at the same time, we were told "just tell me what you want" once or twice, which, to English ears, seems a little rude. Lost in translation, perhaps? But to be fair, the reception staff were for the most part very pleasant. The room didn't have inbuilt air-conditioning, which surprised me for a Four Star, and was a little small.
