The Hotel location is excellent,close to shopping transport and cafe/restaurant nightlife.The room was clean, large with good level of services and facilities (ie Plasma tv, internet,minibar etc).The staff were attentive and prompt to my requests. The only thing that could be improved is the fresh air supply in the bedroom and the mechanical ventilation in the bathroom.There is no airconditioning in the Hotel except in suites,reception and the breakfast room and on the really hot days this is a problem. |

The staff were excellent in assisting us in every way - providing extra pillows and a wake-up call, selecting a restaurant, using their shuttle. It was very hot and the system for cooling the room was only adequate. |

Its centrality, both for walking the Lower (Old) Town and proximity to transport and a wide variety of restaurants. Notwithstanding the abundant nightlife, the room was also extremely quiet (5th Floor). The restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating. An occasional perceived brusqueness when communicating: after all, I was making the effort to speak German, and if my partner was speaking English more or less at the same time, we were told "just tell me what you want" once or twice, which, to English ears, seems a little rude. Lost in translation, perhaps? But to be fair, the reception staff were for the most part very pleasant. The room didn't have inbuilt air-conditioning, which surprised me for a Four Star, and was a little small. |

Good quality breakfast included, location, comfortable bed. Staff in the reception could be a little more friendly, the room was extremely hot without air conditioning (even the upgraded one we were placed). |

The friendly hotel staff was most considerate and helpful -- although my wife had difficulties to reach me on the phone. My room, with a view on a cute courtyard, was spacious and pleasantly furnished. It was remarkably quiet given the situation of the hotel in one of the liveliest areas of Zurich (the main source of outside noise was the hotel central ventilation). There is no lobby, the hotel entrance is shabby. The choice at breakfast was rather restricted. My room, while clean enough, was far from spotless (paint peeling on the doors, stains on the carpet, water damages in the uncomfortably small bathroom). There was an annoying surge of outside noise around 8 a.m. – bottles being carried around, doors slamming, and loud voices. |

A great location on the niederdorfstrasse. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice boutique surroundings. The breakfast was a bit ordinary..not much of a choice but it was included in the room price |

We loved the hotel, staff were polite and friendly. Room was nice. Breakfast was sufficient. Location was great. 1) There is no parking. 2) Can be very noisy if your room overlooks the restaurants which ours did. 3) We did not use the mini bar but upon returning home received a letter claiming we had 2 beers and 2 vodkas (despite the fact that we do not drink alcohol!), they then charged our visa card with 30 swiss francs! unbelievable! |

Location in Old Town perfect. Able to walk city without car. Car parking a few blocks away. Room very large with all amenities. Very clean, comfy bed. Breakfast fine, with small outdoor patio. We did have a wonderful room which overlooked the old town - this is a plus and a minus as people at cafes and in streets talking until 6 a.m. right outside our windows. As long as you know in advance, not a problem. Could ask for quiet, off street room. |

The hotel was lovely, the room great, but the very best part was the staff. I wish I could tell you the name of the young lady at the desk who made such a favorable impression on both my wife and me. The restaurant (Cantina, I believe) was also very nice. I strongly recommend the Bailey's Irish Cream mousse! |

Location was quite good - and breakfast. It was really noisy, people on the square until 3-4 in the morning and then cleaning machines on the square starting at 6 or 7. |

Retro, modern hotel room. Friendly staff, good selection of foods for breakfast buffet. Great location, 5 minutes from main train station and 5 minutes to Lake Zurich. Excellent restaurants and bars in the square underneath the hotel. Really had an amazing time! |

Clean, tidy, nice facilities, great location, very friendly and helpful staff. Long breakfast (until 11am) and checkout time (until 12pm) which was good for a sleep in! Room was a smoking room, which I hadn't realised on booking. The smell was noticeable, but not too strong. More expensive than some other nearby options, but makes up for this by being a pleasant stay. |
