Filthy place,very expensive,nobody at the reception, poor breakfast,wifi non reachable. We think that Booking should make a double check of the recommended hotels, this hotel will damage the image and service of the website!!!!

However the room was very oldfashioned it was very clean. The location of the hotel is perfect to visit Basel.

The hotel staff is really hard to find. There was a persisting smell of smoke in the hall, in the corridor and in the restaurant, where the breakfast is served, but not in the room. The breakfast is nothing special. Please be careful: the hotel has a basement, in which there is a tipically "Night Bar". The entrance of the hotel and of the the "Night Bar" is the same. It could be that you meet some customers of the Night bar in the hall or in the corridor of the hotel. We didn't expect to find this "setting" for a 150,- chf room...we really didn't appreciate that...

Awful service (no reception), out of order facilities (no bed linen, not-working wifi), ghastly breakfast and premises shared with a strip bar....

You can not find water, coke, etc to drink in the hotel. At least a automatic machine should be placed. If you go to hotel before 2:00 pm you can not find anybody in the hotel and no check in. I do not remember that it was written on the reservation page. Worst there is a cabaret or show at the basement of the Hotel but entrance is the same. At night there is nobody at the hotel because there is not reception at the hotel. If I were that there was a show for girls I would not stayed at that hotel with my wife. Hotel is non smoking but I smelt smoking at the hotels.

The location and the comfort of the room are good. It is an older hotel and the fittings are dated but everything worked well. We think the hotel has great potential. There seems to be work going on at the hotel at present.

Sharing an entrance with a so called cabaret gives the hotel a seedy appearance.

Very central

It is a very comfortable hotel and it is easy to get to by tram 3 to Universitat stop, the hotel is opposite. I was very pleased to be given a free ticket for all trams and buses for the duration of my stay.

Good location - close to river & old town. Well served by public transport. Room was clean, comfortable & spacious, if a little dark and dated.

Distinct smell of cigarette smoke around the hotel. The trams passing by outside were very noisy. Like all Swiss hotels - rather expensive

Mein Zimmer war einfach, aber zweckmässig eingerichtet. Für eine Nacht war's ok. Hervorheben möchte ich das Wirtepaar. Echte Basler, sehr freundlich und äusserst hilfsbereit. Zudem fand ich das Mobility Ticket gut, welches ich gratis beim einchecken erhielt und mit welchem ich für 2 Tage gratis ÖV fahren konnte. Die Lage bei der Uni/Spalentor ist optimal für Ausflüge zu Fuss in die Basler Altstadt.

Sehr nette Mitarbeiter. Etwas älteres Hotel in recht zentraler Lage. Für Basel echt günstig.Durch vom Hotel gestelltes Ticket für öffentlichen Nahverkehr ist Basel erkunden gut möglich.

Die Lage ist gut, man kann zu Fuß in die Altstadt gehen. Trotz zentraler Lage ruhige übernachtung.

Dusche funktionierte nicht, kein Restaurant vorhanden.

La posizione dell'hotel è centrale (a due fermate del tram N. 3 dalla piazza principale). La camera è ampia, pulita e silenziosa. La colazione è buona e ricca.

Nelle scale si sentiva un fastidioso odore di fumo di sigaretta che comunque non si percepiva nella camera.
