The location was great. Breakfast was very good and staff was friendly and attentive. Room was good size and very clean. We were also surprised to find a great sun deck on the roof and enjoyed a private dinner and bottle of wine we purchased from the Coop. Very romantic! The restaurant was a bit too pricey for the selection. It would have been nice to have had the option of noise control shutters at night due to the church bells. |

Located within old town, close to restaurants, river, attractions and main station. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Had to ask for many things at breakfast: cups, forks, orange juice, yoghurt. There was more grease than bacon left in bain-marie; scrambled egg (good) but cold - heater had gone out underneath. No toaster (needed for own gluten-free bread). Waitress begrudging about helping; no checking to see if all ok. Room (above kitchen) had four dark-coloured stairs up to bathroom. Only one low stool (no chairs, other than from outside balcony). Early morning noise from kitchen below. |

Hotel's not bad, but overpriced. Though Lucern is really touristic and a bit overcrowded city, so the price was logical (for the demand). Next time I would choose something not so centrally, but quieter and cheaper. So, about the room: tv didn’t work (I don’t really care, but for the money I paid, it should have worked), bathroom door didn’t lock :((, which was unacceptable, no air-condition, only old-fashioned ventilation. So, provided that it was noisy outside all night and church bell rang every hour, we couldn’t open the window and slept without fresh or conditioned air. Breakfast (included) was so-so. Plus, hotel made a hold on my credit card a week prior my arrival, then charged the sum again, promising to call the bank and take off first hold – but nothing happened yet (5 days have passed) So in conclusion, for the price, it could have been much better. But for the service we got – it was tooo expensive. I recommend choosing a different hotel in Lucern Anyway, Switzerland is delightful, idyllic country. So these minor things couldn’t spoil my fantastic time there. Wishing everyone joyful traveling. Olga |

Nice modern hotel with some old world charm close to all amenities in Lucerne. Internet access down the whole time we stayed and very bad pillows. It would also be very helpful to have a mirror added to room in addition to the one in the bathroom so that two people can use one at the same time. |

Service stuff is excellent, position and history of the hotel are fantastic Very aggressive toward money aqccuision. They take money immediately from your cart without expecting your arrival. Rooms 102, 202,..02 are very hot in the summer because the oven chimney of the restorant go through this rooms. They do not tell you this and is not writen in the booking.com site as well. Be careful! |

We liked the relaxing jetted spa and the refrigerator/ It was a little noisy with the windows open on a Friday night. It was also very difficult (and for us, impossible) to find by car. We parked across the river and walked across the bridge with our suitcases. |

Fab location, friendly, helpful staff, and well-designed rooms No air-conditioning (none allowed in the Old Town, apparently), very thin curtains and very noisy rooms (the price of the location, I guess). |

Good value - I paid chf 145 for a night which is good for a decent hotel in Luzern. Staff we friendly as you would expect in Switzerland. Breakfast was basic but acceptable. Room was very clean and functional. |

The hotel desk staff was extremely helpful. Her English was excellent and she was able to explain how to get our rental car to a parking facility. The proximity to the banhoff would be an advantage if you are traveling by train. Parking is several blocks away, across the river. 27CHF per 24 hours. |

Nothing. We had a serious problem with the noise in our room. In our room we could hear the noise from the restaurant of the hotel up to 12 o'clock at night. They did not respect at all the fact that there are people that are staying above the restaurant. We complaint to the hotel management and they said that they will tell their staff to be more carefull. However, there was no change afterwards. |

Terrific location and very friendly staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. I liked the sun deck as well. Extremely good value for the money. Not the hotel's fault, but some of the rooms are near the church bells which go off every quarter of an hour, all through the night. This didn't bother me after the first night, but it was hard to get to sleep initially. |

Location of this hotel is quite good. 5-10 minutes' walk from the station. and in the middle of historic district of Luzern, just one step inside of the promenade along lake Luzern. From the promenade, you can see Kapell Bridge, bar, restaurant, and markets with fresh foods along the lake. Building was renovated recently, and quite comfortable. Interior was excellent, with comfotable ceiling fan. Rather noisy, sometimes it was, even after midnight, especially on weekends. Youngsters seems to have got drunken, messing around. It might be trade off between low-cost or location... And if it were equipped with bath-tab, it would be better. |

The Monopol Swiss Quality Hotel is the architecturally most fascinating hotel in Lucerne, resembling Parisian or Viennese palaces of the 19th century, and can be found right at the train station. |
The Best Western Hotel Krone is a beautiful "Old Town Hotel" with family atmosphere and comfortable rooms. If you are hungry let yourself be spoiled in the cozy restaurant. |
The Hotel Waldstätterhof is located by the railway station, and is also close to the lake, the old town and the culture and congress centre. |
The budget place to stay at the riverside with the mountain view. Our hotel is situated in the old town of Lucerne only a few minutes from the station, the lake and the shopping area. |
