The hotel is located near the river Reuss, in the middle of the historical old town and the traffic free shopping area close to the famous Lucerne Wooden Bridge.

Our hotel has been completely refurbished in January 2007. Enjoy rooms with integreted colour scheme. All our rooms have flatscreen TVs with dvd player, complimentary coffee and tea maker plus complimentary wireless lan!

The lake, shipterminals, the railway station and the spectacular KKL (Arts & Convention Center) are within walking distance.

It is a socialhistorically interesting Fact, that the "white cross" has a Hotel tradition, which goes back demonstrably in the Middle Ages: The "white cross" is one of the oldest hotels in Lucerne. The name "White Cross" was already mentioned in records of the year 1495 and since the early 17th century the location of the hotel is secured to the Furrengasse 19.

Food & beverage

Breakfast is served from 07:00 to 10:00 in our restaurant.

Recently the Ristorante/Pizzeria (open from 11:00 to 23:00) was elegantly redecorated and enlarged. 130 comfortable seats are now available. Throughout summertime 40 seats at the romantic patio in the small alleyway complete our beautiful facilities.

Our elegantly redesigned non-smoking restaurant Chrüzli&Lounge offers 28 seats and can also be exclusively offered for groups and parties.

Room information

The management offers free coffee & tea making facilities in every room.

We offer 20 elegant design rooms and one suite with total 49 beds.
In February 2007 all rooms have been completely refurbished.

The rooms offer modern features and amenities, such as: Wooden floor, integrated color concept, mini bar, complementary coffee/tea set, flat screen TV with DVD, ceiling fan, room safe, radio/buzzer, free W-LAN access and private telephone line. We offer non-smoking rooms only. The hotel provides also family rooms up to 4 persons, eventually plus one toddler. Not only the rooms, but the whole building, is equipped with the last generation of fire and smoke detectors.

Superb rooftop room with balcony at a great price. Easy walk from the rail station. Flat screen TV with DVD player in room. Pleasant staff and a quality pizzeria on site.

The hotel was quiet, has a very good location and the staff are helpful but not intrusive.

It was close to the centre of town

Location in the 'old town' is excellent, mostly quiet (except for 3 churches tolling the hour (and one the quarter hour), also during the night; internet access is 'free'; breakfast adequate (but extra).

Not directly a hotel criticism - car had to park in a parking some 7 minutes walk from the hotel, which was expensive (€50 for 2 overnights). It would be good if the hotel could negotiate a discount for their clients......

Le concert pour lequel je suis venu à Lucerne

Un service réduit à presque rien, accueil glacial, pratiquement pas de lieu de séjour, la chambre encombrée d'un projecteur qui trâine par terre,(?), une salle d'eau sans baignoire, (pour une chambre dite "supérieure").Un environnement bruyant (une disco à portes et fenêtres ouvertes dans la rue voisine). Vraiment beaucoup trop cher pour ce qui est offert.
