Best Western Hotel Zürcherhof  

The room was clean and large by European standards.

Our room was facing the front of the building and the street was very noisy. There were hookers working the corner all night, and some very loud bars. Lots of yelling and constant traffic. Sleep was difficult with all the commotion outside all night.

The staff were very good and helpful. When we checked in we explained what we were doing and that there were a couple of days where we would probably not have breakfast and they were very helpful.

Only thought that I can give is that the hotel was on a fairly noisy street and when hot it was not possible to open the windows owing to the noise.

The rooms were too small and althoug they were clean, I do not think they can be considered 3 stars.

It was centrally located , however the rooms were very small ,also no locks on the bathroom door , no amenities , no basic services of porterage or even water in the room . breakfast was only cold buffet , hence not worth the price . there are many other hotels available at same location with little difference in price & better amenities

The experience was horrible. The most important thing that you should expect from a hotel is that you can sleep well without any disturbances. This was, however, impossible in Best Western Hotel Zurcher Hof. First of all in the room there was a door into the next hotel room which didn't have any sound isolation - you could understand every word of a conversation in the next room. Similarly you understood perfectly every word of a TV program that was watched in the next room. Another issue was that the sound isolation of the windows was very bad - all the street sounds came straight into the room. Consequently I can't recommend the hotel to anybody.

Very convenient for the train station and plenty of restaurants nearby. We found the breakfast good with plenty of choice.

It is next to a library - the pestalozzi bibliotheque. During the day the "bookers" were attending the library. After it had closed the "hookers" attended outside the library.

Great location in the middle of the city. Breakfast ok, nice staff.

Unfortunately there are a lot of bars in the area with noisy bar goers.....
