Arrived after a very long journey from London.......fantastic place to relax! Loved our accommodation even though it is basic. Lovely friendly staff, nice but basic breakfast of juice /cereal/ toast and lovely fresh fruit.....on the beach. Happy hour every evening on the beach watching the sunset. Seafood chowder is a must and the chicken stirfry so tasty. Lovely staff, lovely place.....great for chilling! Recommended!
The facility and location were excellent. It was very affordable for the location
walking right out the cabin door and snorkeling right out in front. small family run business. only 10 cabins.
roosters wake you up at all hours.
Staff were extremely helpful with anything required, they made our stay enjoyable. Beachfront, clean white sands can get deep for young children, great snorkeling. No where local to get food during day until dinner without transport. Coconut shack on beach out front accommdation delicious food fair prices, made dinner options easy. .
Internet network to telecom not great connection, very slow.
We enjoyed our entire stay, staff were always around if you needed help, beautiful breakfast supplied and great location. The coconut shack resturant and bar made us chuckle but the food that came out of there was beautiful, not complaints at all
Didn't dislike anything
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was good.
The facilities were a bit run down and needed a spruce up with a few minor additions of lights and flowers on tables in the outside dining space on the beach.
Coconut bar out the front did good food for good value. Scooter and bicycle hire on site.
No air con or tv. Can't drink the water. Bugs! Cold shower. Basic accommodation, don't stay here after staying in a resort.
Great location (still need a scooter or car to visit beaches, town, restaurants etc...) but the beach was great to swim at, water front bungalows, clean, cheerful staff, cheap cocktails... Breakfast was simple but just want we wanted (fruit and coffee). Price per night is just right! Would visit again.
I liked the location as it was near to the town area and airport and other activities that was available on the Island. The Staff were great & friendly, made us feel at home.
The Restaurant was close for dinner for 2 nights & meet & greet at the airport didnt show up even though I had advised them via email our flight details. Thanks to The Aitutaki Lagoon Resort & Spa they gave us a ride half way till paradise cove came to pick us, they even assisted us to call for the transfer... very dissapointed on the 1st day :(
+ Price + Not far from the airport + Free of charge transfer from/to the airport + Rent scooter or bicycle + You can order cruises on the lagoon (not expensive!)
- Breakfast for hungry children of Africa, every day: the same bread, milk, cornflakes, jam, butter, papaya, passion fruit, coffe. That's all! Every day the same! awfully! - Very bad beach! 7 meters from the beach - coral wall! Swim is not possible! - In the evenings, the hotel is very boring - Very expensive lunches and dinners - Nearest shop is about 4-5km from the Hotel
the lagoon, the snorkelling, nice little huts, close to the airport and the lookout hill
The terrace doors wouldn't lock, the safe was old and moveable, the staff a bit indifferent although keen to help, very basic breakfast, plastic chairs on the terrace
everything was pretty clean and tidy.. good location.. far enough out of town but close enough to take a bike in to do shopping.. good restaurant..good food nice beach area..
Roosters waking you up at 1.37am, but that happens everywhere on the island its unavoidable..
Location . Swimming in lagoon. Kayaking . Walks all around on beach and hills. No dogs was excellent. Cycling on flat everywhere. Earth oven evening. Friendly staff.
Breakfast . Internet having to buy cards.
The beachfront bungalows had a stunning outlook. The location was a short scooter ride to everything and was in a sheltered position out of the wind. Junior was extremely generous and helpful. The airport transfers and onsite availability of a scooter and snorkelling equipment for hire and breakfasts made our stay easy and enjoyable. Make sure you do a lagoon tour! Wow.
Bungalows were a little close to each other but this was rarely a problem - we could never hear our neighbours.
Great accomodation with amazing staff willing to help with all requests and needs. They will make your stay here on the island one to be memorable and satisfying. We found the location convenient and ideally positioned on the island. The bungalows are self contained and most are on the beach front with lovley views however we stayed in a garden bungalow and were given the option to change over to a beach bungalow mid stay (as they were fully booked out) but were just as happy staying where we were. You won't be disappointed and as mentioned the staff will do everything possible to make a happy stay and holiday.
The beach bungalows have wonderful views of the beach and ocean. Lovely sound of crashing waves. Beach is lovely to walk on but be a little careful for broken glass. Best wear reef shoes.
Price, but the whole of the Cook Islands is pricey. This place was actually quite good value for the money.
We liked the location near the airport and near the town. The view from the balcony of the cabin is beautiful and sunsets are stunning. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We could hire a scooter. There is a beach bar with a few good drinks. The barbeque on Wednesday was delicious.
The cabins are quite small, but ok. The kitchen was not very clean and needs refurbishing. Cutlery and kitchen tools were all in one basket. A bit more organisation would be helpful.
The position is well situated. Our Garden Studio was spacious, lovely beach a few steps away. Good value for the price.
Our bed was not the most comfortable.
Beach huts were excellent. Just what we were looking for. Breakfast, good Ambience Helpfulness of staff Pickup and drop off Coconut Shack meals
Insect drilling in our roof leaving fine dust by the safe but we fixed that with a squirt of the fly spray. Cockerels crowing so early in the morning. Nothing else it was so good
The receptionist was the best! She really helped us in finding the best spots and was always helpful and friendly. The beautiful-looking bungalows are located right on the beach with a nice view to the ocean. There were all the basic facilities that you need for a Holiday. Very authentic place with the nice island atmosphere. The balcony was really nice and you could watch amazing sunset if you have a lot of mosquito rebellent. :)
The cleanliness could have been better - nobody cleaned the room while our almost 2 week stay so it became very dirty in the end because of all the sand. Bed sheets were changed couple of times, though. The breakfast could have had little bit of variety (last days I couldn´t eat that anymore) and coffee was always cold. There were also lot of roosters outside so you wake up every Morning at 3 am because of them (but I guess it is the same around the island no matter where you stay because there are roosters everywhere on the island).
Fantastic location on Aitutaki, sweet little bungalows right on the beach, and an amazing price. The only downside is it's too tempting to just sit on your own balcony the whole time and not explore!
Unlike the big resorts, Paradise Cove Lodge has basic amenities however the Lodge is owned by locals and all the staff are very accommodating. The bungalows are self contained, clean and tidy and very good value for the less extravagant traveller who wants to get out and explore Aitutaki rather than hang around a Resort style of accommodation. Scooters and bikes are available for hire and the staff can arrange car hire if required.
There's not much to complain about when you're on Aitutaki although if you're there on a Sunday it's best to have some food that you could prepare in your bungalows as there's not a lot open.
The bungalow was a bit old and worn and couldn't have a comfortable shower as it kept changing from too hot to cold but apart from that the beds were comfortable, everything was clean and good. Beautiful spot near the beach and the staff are super friendly and helpful.
This property is very good value particularity in a market where one could spend hundreds to have the full American resort experience -- but who needs that -- you are already in paradise. We had a bungalow on the beach on a tropical island for about $150/night with a balcony that faced the sapphire waters of the Pacific, a lovely sunset and a fully functional kitchenette (save money by fixing lunch yourself and go out for dinner). The place is well run, the food on "buffet night" was fairly priced and very tasty and we didn't want to leave, but again, this was about as close to heaven as I have yet been! Frankly, I think folks would be foolish to spend 2-3x as much for some isolated resort.
Really nothing. The property is too far from "town" to walk but there really isn't any need to go to town. We rented a scooter on the property and saw everything there was to see in that fashion.
