Sunrise is not a resort type accommodation, more of a natural - family one which was perfectly matching our demands. Caryn & Brian let ourselves into their life-home and were super friendly, helpful. If you want to get the real taste of Rarotonga, then Sunrise is a very good choice.

Caryn and Brian are friendly and willing to help in any way. The bungalow was a nice place for a single person on a budget. The pool was beautifully maintained and the property was well maintained considering the tropical and ocean-side location.

Would have liked more beach chairs ocean-side.

The room we booked wasn't available. They told us that when dropping us at the unit door. So they put us in a lower level room without even giving us a proper apology. The room wasn't clean enough. There were stains on linens, cigarette ash on the bathroom floor, shower didn't drain... And anyway it wasn't the room we booked! We left the next morning but apparently check out time had passed so we had to pay for two night anyway... Caryn was even trying to make me pay two nights in a oceanview unit although we slept only one night in a garden view unit! Unbelievable... The quality/price ratio was really poor. For the same price we found a cleaner and more luminous unit in central Muri. Budget accomodation doesn't necessarily mean ugly, dirty or very poorly organised!

Caryn & Brian were absolutely wonderful. They are so friendly and helpful and always there if you need a ride somewhere or advise about things or people on the islands. I had a great time and would recommend Sunrise to ALL.

private location, near the lagoon at muri beach.This is not a resort so it does not have the bars and restaurants [nor does it have the price!].What it does have is a clean private location with its own cooking facilities . We celebrated our 25th weding anniversary and would recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.Carryn and Bryan were very friendly and helpful and we look forward to staying again.

I found Karen and Brian delightful and wonderful hosts. They were very friendly and helpful. Rocky beach in the front, so you can just about fish from the porch... The bungalows were right on the sea - what a beautiful location!!!

I missed the air conditioning.

Fantastic Hosts. Very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Bungalows were extremely well-appointed and comfortable.

Caryn and Brian were great hosts, the rooms were serviced reguarly, rooms were clean and confortable and the view was stunning. We had 2 oceanfront bungalows. It was within walking distance to Muri beach which is the best part of the island.

My husband and I stayed for eight days from 01/10/2012. We were picked up from the Airport by Karen who was friendly and welcoming. When we arrived the unit was spotlessly clean and a breakfast of doughnuts, bread, eggs and tropical fruit with tea/coffee/milk was provided. Our host was more than forth-coming with useful local knowledge. My husband had a dental health emergency 9 hours prior to flying out. Our hosts drove us to the hospital to remedy the problem. We felt safe and gratified for their dedicated assistance. Thank you very, very much to the both of you. We will be back!

Wonderfully relaxing. Comfortable and clean accommodation. The owner, larynx was so helpful and friendly.

Clean and tidy, staff not in your face but there if we neede anything.

I was a bit dissapointed with the beach. Being soooo close to the ocean beach but it was too rough, stoney and corally to swim or walk along the beach.

Caryn was fantastic and really went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Extremely helpful guiding us around the Island's facilities.

The dogs, location

The bed it was worn out the springs where popping out of the bed. The lighting was not all working, the ranch slider door didn't lock, you use a broom handle to secure.

Carin and Brian went out of their way to make us feel at home. They had the fridge stocked with food for us when we came in on a midnight flight. I was very impressed at their kindness.

Its was everything you could want if you did not like the fake resorts on the island that charge the world with no personal comfort that sunrise offered at such a top level, I would stay there again

If you are interested in visiting Rarotonga and not spending too much money, Sunrise Beach Bungalows is a good budget option. It's also in a good location within easy walking or biking to Muri Beach. Caryn and Brian try very hard to make everyone's stay comfortable and provided free airport pickup and dropoff for me.

Good value for money. Each bungalow has own bathroom and kitchen. Linen and towels changed when requested. Very peaceful and private. Close to good places for snorkling. Small shop outside with long opening hours.

Caryn & Brian the hosts definately are the making of your holiday. They go over and beyond to get their guests to the right restaurants, activities etc. They load you up with information and leave you to explore and find your own experiences. They are there when you need them but never in your way. The location leaves you well and truly relaxed...they only answer we ever got was...not a problem! Loved every minute of our stay.
