We had a large bedroom. Kitchen and dining room facilities were available at all times for guests including a large fridge. Good hot shower.
No hot water supply to basin in bathroom, and no plug! No hair dryer, shampoo etc.
The welcome by the charming owner, the secure parking, the breakfast
We got useful information by the kind man at the reception about what to see and where to go in Chiloe. The breakfast was nice.
The hotel does not look like a place you would like to stay at from the outside, but inside it is really OK for the price you pay. If you like to sleep late in the morgnings you should avoid the rooms next to the breakfast room due to the non existing sound isolation.
We had secure parking (they needed advance notice). Super helpful on check-in with suggestions for dining, penguin viewing, & sightseeing. Great breakfast. Love the color-coded key system! Quiet room, but close to everything.
A little hard to find - Ancud could do much better with street signs. We parked by the info center on the square, and the staff there directed us to the hotel.
We could use the Kirchen
We could not open the window
Great location right next to the square, lots of great info about things to do in the area, plus free secure parking, and a minimally equipped kitchen, great for making a sandwich
Rooms are a little small, but still comfortable
The Hotel is very near The Centro so it. is good for going in The City !
Its Not easy ton find The Hotel !
The place offers excellent quality for little money. Small but well equipped rooms, breakfast much better than in other places we have stayed and the owner is very correct and considerate doing everthing to keep his guests happy and entertained. He helps with tour booking and give good food advice.
Marcello is a wonderful, helpful host. He gave us good advise on restaurants and tours. We upgraded to the 4 person room and found it very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast is much better than the usual in Chile- scrambled eggs, wheat bread and even peanut butter! We appreciated the shared kitchen.
The outside of the building is misleading, it is much more attractive inside. No complaints!
Good position , advice from the very gentle owner , hot water always available (not common in chile)
Room very small (though the name of the hotel should suggest...)
From the outside this place looks unlike anywhere you will have stayed before. Inside you will get a lot of help from Marcelo, find comfortable rooms and great breakfast. Despite being very central the place is quiet. Recommended.
The owner come across as genuinely nice. He was very friendly and was very enthusiastic in making recommendations on places to go and where to eat. Wifi was strong and the room was clean. The hotel was very reasonably priced and it came with free car parking too!
The car park is not located at the hotel itself but at a secured parking area, about 3 minutes walk to the car park. It's alright to get to the car during the day but at night the whole town is rather deserted. Not sure how safe the area is at night. The room I had was a bit small. The one my kids stayed in had carpeted toilet - which explains the musty smell in their room. I suggest that the carpet be removed.
Cute and cosy, very well located. Nice and very helpful owner.
Given great info on town, restaurants and activities on arrival. Secure parking 1.5 blocks away, comfy bed, great eggs for breakfast. Make sure you try the local drink in breakfast room.
The hotel is just fine, located upstairs of a tiny plaza. Somewhat noisy during the day. It has all the necessary: more that OK rooms, hot water, a useful kitchen and dining room.
This is not related to the hotel in anyway. But, if you can, stay away from Ancud. It is a small town, which has nothing to offer which deserves a stay. The penguin sanctuary is worthwhile, however it can be reached in one hour from either Chacao or Castro. The last one, for its central position, is a much better place to stop for some says and visit the island.
We had a very spacious room. The breakfast was good. Marcello, the owner is very helpful and kind. I would def recommend this place.
The city had a planned electricity shutdown that the hotel didn't told us about the morning of our check out ... We were lucky to had finish with essential electrical use but it would have been nice to be warned in advance since it was schedule by the city
Centrally located hotel; owner is very friendly and has a lot of information about local food, restaurants and opportunities for sightseeing in the whole region to offer
Available kitchen for muslim traveller (micro oven etc) Nice room with adequate required facilities Located within town area Good services
Good location close to plaza. Good breakfast. Also use of the kitchen to make a cup of tea etc.
The postion is very good, close to the central square, the seaside and a lot of good restaurants (you must try La Nana, ask the reception for directions). Marcelo, the owner, is very kind and helpful. He also got us in touch with a very good travel agent, friend of his, to get to the famos beach, la Pinguinera, to see the penguins. The wifi connection was very good and fast. The breakfast was good enough: there were coffee, milk, cereals, bread, jams, cake and a very kind woman cooked eggs for each guest who arrived in the dining room, which was nice with a lovely view on the city. The room was not very big, but comfortable, and included a private bathroom with a good shower.
Absolutely nothing, we had a really good time there (2 nights and 3 days).
Location, friendly and cooperative staff, possibity to cook , advice about city and region
The hotel has small rooms, but they are sufficient. It is very quiet and at the same time right in the center of Ancud. The owner helped us with a lot of ideas for dining out, sightseeing and tips ror the entire island of Chiloe. It has a free save parkingspace.
It is centrally located. The owner is very helpful with lots of tips what to do and see. The parking is locked/fenced and free of charge. The rooms have good heaters, so it is warm. Free tea and coffee in the evening and good breakfast.
The check-in time is very limited (17:00-19:30), we arrived after 20:00 and it took us more than an hour calling until we got in (our fault that we didn't check time of check-in, be careful with this). Low ceilings, but it wasn't problem for us. Found some hair in the bathtub/shower, but otherwise everything looked clean. Upon check-in we got just one small towel, it was fixed the next day.
The room was perfect, extremely nice bed after so much traveling we really appreciated a good night sleep, the bathroom also had everything we needed. Breakfast was self service but they cook eggs if you wish. Fair price and they have Tv cable as well. Walking distance from the main attractions as the Museum, restaurantes, the main square, the fish market, etc. They also provided private parking as I requested it in advance.
They didn't know how to do the check out if the guest is paying in dollars. Even when the booking informations says clearly we can pay in dollars. Nobody was there to do our check out the lady in charge of the breakfast tried her best to help us. She had to rang the owner to ask him for assistance but he didn't answer. The girl who did our check in finally came and try to solve the problem, however she didn't know either. As I did it in other Hotels I explained them the procedure. This is not right though especially the time wasting for guests.
