Talca closes down pretty much on weekends, especially Sunday. Few restaurants and stores are open. Winery tours are weekdays only.
The cabanas were full so we were hosted at Hotel Stella, a sister property. They graciously honored the price of the cabana at the more costly hotel. Christian was superbly helpful, accommodating, and friendly in making our stay comfortable and pleasant. Breakfasts were above average with scrambled eggs and always a wonderful pastry, along with the normal cheese, ham, toast, yogurt, juice and fresh fruit. Great A/C on a hot day. Rooms are small, but adequate. It's an easy, flat 10-15 minute walk to services in town.
