No wifi. A fair way out of town. No name displayed upon arrival, we had to ask around to find them. Hot water from shower, very inconsistent in one of our rooms, but fine in the other.
A bit unorganised. At the airport it seems all accommodation places meet the planes, with travellers names. This was not the case for us, we had to ask around until we found our host. Once met, Carmen was very accommodating and had us sent to the accommodation, only we were taken to the wrong one. It turns out, they were overbooked at Cabana Manatea, and she relocated us to her relatives next door. That in itself was not a problem, once we worked out what was going on. We did not speak Spanish. She put on a welcoming BBQ fish lunch which was scrumptious. Once settled all okay. Apart from the mix up re the booking all was good. The place is located near the ocean and a Moai site. Although our booking said that breakfast was not included, that was not the case and each morning we were served a continetal breakfast of coffee, rolls, juice, cheese and tomato. On the Saturday moring an beautiful omlette was served. We had a late flight (midnight) and they allowed us a room to store our luggage and even offered towels for a quick shower before checking out at 7pm in the evening even though we had not paid for the extra day. From that point of view, above and beyond, so we were quite happy and thankful for our stay, even though it was next door to where we had booked. They worked in well together and the transition seemed seamless. Thanks Carmel for an enjoyable stay.
