- Very friendly staff - English, Spanish and French spoken - Pick-up from the airport - Very nice location with sea-view - Very good dinner - Very good guide to book at the hotel Possibility to rent vehicles (bikes, quads, car)
Beautiful garden, owner and staffs are nice. Not convenient if you are looking for a place near to the town but it's just nearby the cave
Jerome and his wife make every effort to provide you a perfect stay
People must be aware that you are in Easter Island, therefore keep in mind that standarts are different (lower in comfort and higher in proces), wifi is slower than slow and you may find exotic bugs or lezards in your rooms. This is general..
Quite place, with a nice view on the sea, clean rooms. The food was excellent. They also have a very good service for laundry. Jerome is a very nice person, and its guided tour of the isle is a must, he is also always available to help you.
It is true that it a bit far from the city center, but for us it wasn't a real issue... 10-15 min walk isn't too far and there is a lot of taxi (from 1,500 to 2,000 CLP) if you're tired :-)
location next to Orongo cleanliness breakfast dinner (good price for good food, which is not always the case in the restaurant in town)
Not so cheap (but you're on Easter Island, so everything is more expensive there)
Jerome greated us at the airport, and was accomodating and hospitable throughout our stay. The location of Chez Jerome was a bit of the main part of town -- but we wanted that, and glad we stayed where we were. Across the street from a set of caves, and at the foot of the volcano, with easy access to the hiking path up the hill and to gorgeous ocean sunset view. Breakfast hit the spot, and the room was cleaned every day with fresh towels. Quiet and private.
Doesn't seem like a fair question. It's on Easter Island, so it's to be expected that amenities aren't what they would be elsewhere. And WiFi is a relatively new thing there, and not like on the mainland. But given that guests are staying in one of the most remote places on Earth, unplugging for a few days is probably the best approach!
Jerome goes out of his way to please his guests, be sure to dine there, the food is great and you can't beat the $/quality Jerome lets you bring your wine which is great to try all Chilean vintages...He will tell you where to get it! We stayed a week and we'll be back!
Breakfast could have more fruits.
Location was very good. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Accommodated us with day trip, guide and rental car.
The wifi was poor, but I didn't come to Easter Island for wifi! There is an Internet cafe in town with a good connection and very reasonable.
Was too many things that I didn't like to see what was really like. I belive if Jerome would be home the place would be much nicer.
- No wifi or soo slow that you are not able to use it - Jerome was overseas,so no body could speak english at the reception. - The water under shower is going hot and cold all the time! - You have to walk around 20min to city or call taxi.
The staff were very nice.
The wi-fi. But, being Rapa Nui, you cannot ask for much. Just make sure you take some DVDs or books to do something at night!
Location, friendliness of staff, knowledgeable staff, good food.
Very low quality kitchen, no utensils, no plates, no glasses, poor bed
Chez's' hospitality. He was an excellent guide on our tour. Easy-going friendliness.
Jerome himself! His dinners. Fantastic Pisco Sour with crashed ice. Friendly atmosphere.
He should use more powerful electric lamps (dark in the room). The walls shouldn't be painted in that awful dark blue color. Satellite Wi-Fi was poor and very slow (but this is probably the general problem on the island).
Jerome is an excellent host and guide. Nothing is too much trouble, and his knowledge and advice about the island were invaluable
Room had insects Location is far from downtown
Jerome, the owner, is a great host. Fluent in English, Spanish and naturally French, he is also a guide and able to arrange or advise for other attractions on the island. The place is very nice and even though it's not located near the center of the town, it is near the volcano for a nice trekking trip. Highly recomended, especially for French talking travellers, you will feel like home.
Not close to the town center, but you can work around that with Jerome's help or a taxi. For the tours and your trips to and from the airport you are covered.
A bit further from the village, but across the street from Ana Kai Tangata cave and a point of land with beautiful sunsets.
We were there in summer and slept with our slider open. A ceiling fan would have been a nice addition.
I really liked the way I was welcomed. Jeromes wife is super!!!! All credits for her! I wanna thank Jerome for being flexible with my late check-out.
Bit closer to the shops would have been nice
Jerome is a well-informed guide who is very accommodating. He goes out of his way to be sure that you have everything you need. Breakfast was adequate and the one dinner we enjoyed most came from his chef!
Would have liked some fresh fruit at breakfast as well as a fan in our upstairs room.
Breakfast was tasty and Jerome is very friendly.
The location is a little bit far from downtown.
Jerome is a great host. His knowledge regarding the Moai is immense and it's clear he is passionate about ensuring travellers get the most from their time on Easter Island. He even went the extra mile with sorting bus tickets in Chile for us.
Slightly out of town location but accessible via walking or taxi so not a big problem.
interesting setting nice garden friendly, helpful host
somewhat soft beds
Jerome was very helpful - he knows a lot about Easter Island and clearly loves it. We had a lovely stay on the island.
The hot water was variable - it often would come back on, but sometimes not at all.
Access to historical points of interest; proximity to ocean; tours provided by Jerome; possibility of gourmet dinners on site.
Intermittent water temperature in bathroom.
