I liked the wonderful and friendly staff, really they are a family that own the place. The location a short walk from town was very enjoyable. Neighborhood feel.
The shower turned hot and cold tempermentally. There were dogs in the neighborhood that barked and we're noisy, but this likely isn't unique to this pkace.
Comfortable - one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever experienced - clean, and a building with character.
One very big negative - you don't get a key to the front door and while staff let you in and out most of the time, it was not possible to get out early in the morning. This was annoying but also potentially dangerous from a fire safety point of view (although I guess it would be possible to get out through the private part of the building in an emergency). Until this is fixed I cannot recommend this place, which is a pity because most other things about it were excellent. (I raised this with the staff when I left and they said they were looking at a solution, so hopefully this will change soon).
Wonderful German cake for breakfast!
Location was located up a hill only 10 -15 minute walk from town but with packs not great. After one night we moved closer to town. Room was small but adequate. Initially we did not think we would get breakfast as we had to be in town for a tour early..but they did come through and we had a great breakfast half an hour before the posted time.
Great place, well located, and in a historic building! We loved the views from our room and the staff could not have been more accommodating.
very cosy place, wonderful hosts, good breakfast
it was a bit cold in the room
Up the hill from the main streets so it is quiet without being isolated. Just a quick walk down the steps puts you in town. Very good breakfast--tasty and filling. Computer for guest use. Quiet and comfy. No complaints and I would go back.
Bathroom floor could use an update--just a few new squares of tile would make a big difference! The steep stairway was fine for me but something to consider.
Beautifull place and very friendly staff.
All is very good, we suggest a little music in the dining area.
Very clean, good location and welcome, save car parking.
Very small room. No room to even put case down. 99% carb breakfast no good for diabetic.
I've been traveling in South America and this was the BEST hostal I've stayed at. Clean, convenient, hospitable and helpful. What more can I say.
Location was great. 5min walk to the lake and two big supermarkets. The owner wasn't very friendly but the guy who helped me with check-in and check-out spoke good english.
We were greeted and helped by our host who was obviously looking for us. The room was neat, clean and had all the details that make staying overnight comfortable, night lights, rugs on the floor by the beds, desk. Breakfast was varied and good. We very much enjoyed our stay.
The staff were very helpful. They gave me assistance in booking my trips before I arrived. It was clean, the walk to the main square was about 15mins.
Very friendly staff (managed by owners). Good breakfast
A bit noisy from the other rooms
Beautiful wooden house, good breakfast
Shower kept alternating between lava-hot and ice-cald
Good size room, lots of towels. Kutchen for breakfast.
A bit of a walk into town.
Great breakfast, friendly owners, excellent location. Has parking and laundry services.
