Score from 75 reviews Very good
noisy (staff during the morning)
The room is comfortable and has a nice view. Good things provided: clean room and bathroom, heater in room, reliable hot water, and WiFi. When we changed our plans, they were willing to cancel one day of our reservation without a fee.
We would have liked a TV. There is nothing to do in town and it is was a bit too cold and windy to go out if you have extra time. We also did not find the hostess very helpful. She suggested several places to eat in town, but didn't have a map, so she printed out a very small map from her computer. Then she missed marked the restaurants on the map, so we were lost when went out to find them. Also, she didn't warn us that the restaurants were closed for the afternoon siesta (3-7pm), even though we had said we were looking for a place to eat right then 4pm. We walked around lost in the cold and wind until we figured out they were all closed, then went back to the lodge to wait until 8pm. Culture shock. Then we also asked about sight seeing around. She only offered us the tours offered by the lodge. For other information we had to go to the tourist booth which is just across the street. The other reviews made it seem like the nice coffee was complimentary, just as a warning it is not. Lattes and such are at a cost. Standard coffee and tea is offered with breakfast.
Close to the village by foot, great view of the sea, waterfront walks, breakfast, interior design, laid back style yet warm and cosy, room comfort except for noise.
Doors of rooms are too thin: you can hear any sound through them; many rooms are above the reception area in an open configuration which means you get awaken by any conversation or sound coming from the bar. Not a great hotel for light sleepers.
Warm, cozy, friendly, and with a great location and all bedrooms have a magnificent view.
Above all expectations. Has an amazing view of the lake.
The rooms have a fantastic view to Puerto natales Bay. The breaksfast is very good and the staff very nice.
The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, our room was lovely with gorgeous views and very comfortable. We were able to store our valueables in their locked cupboard while away hiking in Torres Del Paine before our stay.
It was a little suprising that somewhere that has a reputation for the best coffee in Puerto Natales offers you instant coffee at breakfast and not a cappucino. A small thing but I was really looking forward to it!
Great lakeview from our room and from the coffee place downstairs! Room was beautiful and clean and the coffee was great!
When we arrived we had to wait 4 hours to check in- merely because the girl in charge 'didn't understand' us. My spanish isn't that great, but I tried and saying hotel, pointing upstairs and even showing her the reservation several times should have done the trick. We didn't get any breakfast the first moring, we had to pay for a sandwich so that was a bit dissapointing. When we were asking about doing some laundry, they wouldn't help us and they denied that on the booking.com page it said 'laundry service available', and again I even showed them that page. The hotel ordered a taxi for us the night before we left since we were leaving early. Next morning: no taxi. They refused to call another one until 15 minutes before our bus left. I loved the logde, the staff makes me not want to recommend this place to anyone that isn't real patient.
Very cozy beds, nice decor, great location, friendly employees
Wi-fi was not that reliable in the room and it took about 5 minutes for the hot water to get going in the shower.
A cosy lodge, with lovely rooms overlooking the lake and a cosy open plan living area downstairs with great coffee. Lovely design touches.
Wifi a little temperamental
- Very cosy place with nice interior - nice location at the sea front - very good coffee and nice music
- staff was a bit cold, could be more friendly - the good coffee was not offered for breakfast, only on a surcharge
The location right on the waterfront made for great views right from our room's window. Also, we had to leave early in the morning but the staff had breakfast ready for us anyway.
We found the building was difficult to find due to the fact that the street numbers on Pedro Montt increase beyond 161, before they start to decrease back to 161. Kau needs to explain this anomaly on its website.
Wonderful view from bedroom, and superb bed! Whole ambience of place good, and decor very hip
Staff running cafe had no English, which was difficult for many people. They also had their children there after school and at weekends, using the guest area and sofas......could be better.
The real coffee was excellent
Except for the coffee (excellent) the breakfast was not great.
Great location, helpful staff, beautiful views from rooms, great location to kick off visit to Torres del Paine National Park.
Cozy, stylish rooms. Radiators great for drying washed clothing. Great view of the lake and mountains. Quaint.
A little too warm upstairs. Desk staff and coffee shop staff not very friendly. Waited for about 10 minutes for someone to show up at the front desk to sign in/drop off and pick up keys when stepping out. Relatively long walk from centre of town and bus station, but taxis are very cheap.
room too small.
Its location. The views from the bedrooms are wonderful. The coffee!
Rustic look and architecture.
Fair wifi in room.
The location on the front with beautiful views, he rooms were very clean.
The room heating (underfloor) was too hot during the day and only one small window openable.
We enjoyed the lodge. Nice rooms, nicely decorated, with a view to the water. Good wifi.
Breakfast not excellent, not many options.
Great location right on water front with beautiful views from each of the 5 rooms. Upstairs from a coffee shop (which has great coffee), this isn't a traditional hotel but great for the casual traveler.
great location with wonderful view across the lake
Staff was wonderful, both when we were there and also before the trip via email communication. Views from the room were delightful.
We tought the breakfast was pathetic. Basically it was a tiny amount of corn flakes, with some white bread and cheese. The breakfast was pathetic. A tiny bowl of corn flakes, some bread and a little cheese. Given that many guests at the hotel are returning from or heading off on hiking trips to Torres del Paine National Park, a more substantial breakfast would be in order. How about some big bowls of granola, muesli, or oatmeal?
The view can't be beat. The rooms are clean and designed nicely. The atmosphere is comfortable. The hot chocolates from the cafe are great and the free breakfast is tasty. Overall, a great experience.
They could have had a bit more information about Torres del Paine excursions, etc, but the tour they did set us up with turned out to be okay anyway.
