Perfect location Helpful and friendly staff/service Delicious breakfast Spacious/clean room Wonderful view Great landscaping/atmosphere Comfy hammocks Private/remote but is also in walking distance to everything
- Very agreeable staff - Individual rooms - Great suggestions - Cars to rent - Confortable bed - Beautiful place, near of an archaeological site
- Internet does not work in the bedroom - There is no telephone in the bedroom - TV reception is very poor - Not so near to the city as I expected.
Great cabanas with view Friendly service Walk past Moai into "city"
Immediate access to beautiful coastal walks and moai; and short walk to restaurants Peaceful, rustic atmosphere Free airport transfers
Slightly tired rooms and bathrooms Poor wifi Expensive for what you get - but that's probably just Easter Island
Great location in front of the museum and next to an unbelivable park with Moai. Not far from the village centre, very peaceful. I would defenitively suggest this hotel.
Nice breakfast Room and surrounding looks very nice Walking distance to the 'centre' Very good cleaning lady Nice location by the sea
It was COLD inside the room Difficult to communicate if not spanish speaking
Pikera Uri was a nice place to stay. The rooms are clean and comfy, the grounds are beautiful, and there is plenty of room for parking. The owners will reserve anything for you - tours, shows, rental cars, etc.
If you don't speak much Spanish (or Rapa Nui), be sure to clarify details if they make any reservations for you. We had some minor miscommunications - of course, nothing major, and to be expected when you do not speak the local language!
Great suggestions on where to eat and shop. Took their horseback riding tour and was wonderful.
Friendly helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Quiet, well maintained. Lovely gardens and ocean views. Great breakfasts. Understand English.
Beautiful grounds. Quiet location. Great ocean view. Large, clean rooms. Friendly staff. Abundant, tasty breakfasts. Free transfer to and from airport. It is even possible to take horseback rides! We loved our stay.
It is not a luxury resort and, yes, computer connection is bad---but this is the most remote, inhabited island so please keep that in mind! My only complaint would be a lack of screens on the windows to prevent mosquitos but not a big problem at the time of year we visited.
Quiet location, but still reasonably close to town. Very friendly, personal service. Large rooms. Great ocean view.
Slow wifi. If you desire a lot of amenities, you will want to look elsewhere, but this is a great base camp for exploring the island, and a restful place to recharge.
Great experience staying in the lovely hotel of Karin and Pantu. They were very friendly and helpful with tips of the island. Also excellente location.
This is a good hotel but like everything else on Easter Island it is overpriced by at least double. The rooms are comfortable and are a good size. Breakfast is ok, but not great. For the money you pay, more of an effort should be made. They have plenty of horses so if horse riding is your thing it would be good to stay here. The owners are nice people but they do not speak a word of English, which again at this standard/price of hotel it is reasonable to expect. Easter island is worth a visit but many other islands in the Pacific including Tahiti, Polynesia, Samoa, Fiji, etc are nearly all much nicer. The culture/history is interesting but it is hardly worth the money and the 6 hour flight to/fro Santiago. I'd have rather gone to Tahiti again!
The staff was wonderful and we loved the location. It is a 10-13 minute walk to the main area and we loved this because it put us right on the coast with moai sites right out the entrance of the hotel. It is located right next to the museum as well. The grounds were beautiful! We loved the gardens and the fresh grown fruit. We had our four children with us (ages 5-14) and felt welcome and comfortable with us all. The breakfast was great.
The bedrooms and bathrooms were very large and well maintained. The location with the sea views was ideal (a short walk to Hanga Roa past a series of Maoi statues on the shore). The beds were very comfortable. The staff didn't speak much English but they were very patient and accomodating with my poor Spanish. If I were to do the vacation all over again I definitely would stay at Pikera Uri again. I feel like it is by far the best value for lodging options on Easter Island.
Wifi service was slow and unreliable. This would seem to be a common problem on Easter Island and not necessarily specific to this hotel.
We were very well received. All the little details show how much Karin and Pantu care about their guests. And very fortunately Pikera Uri is close to one of the most beautiful Moai sites. Also Pantu has a true passion for horses and he proposes great rides that are accessible to beginners.
The wifi is not working well but it seems it is mainly due to the island telecom provider... And well... hopefully you don't go to Rapa Nui to stay connected!
A really nice place to stay - awesome sea views - on the island, which is expensive but this place wasn't too bad by comparison. They have their own stables and do horse-riding tours, and the breakfasts are good.
Slightly out of town if you are have any issues walking, but a nice walk past moai if you can. Internet access good but doesn't quite reach the bungalows.
Everything was excellent! The hotel is located near the town, has allot of privacy and a beautiful view to the sea. The staff was very nice and helpful on everything we needed and Breakfast was excellent. We had a great time there, the Hotel is highly recommended.
Pikera Uri is an amazing place to stay. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, my terrace had a sea view. It is in Tahai and only a 5 minute walk to the village. In the morning you can go horse riding, these tours leave from Pikera Uri. Karin and Pantu are very friendly and welcoming
You have to speak Spanish as Karin doesn´t speak English
small cockroach in room
Karen and Pantu are excellent hosts, always worried guests. Breakfasts excellent and varied, wonderful juices and cakes, sea view and very nice garden, beautiful plants and trees, has samples of traditional buildings Puntu tells interesting stories about the island Karina cooks very well. The family is very welcoming
No internet access in rooms
