When I got off at the metro stop, I looked around and thought, hmmm. This may not work. But as soon as you get off of O'Higgins, it's fine. The hostel is very clean, tidy, nicely done. Breakfast is typical, but close to plenty of places. The wifi works great, too. It's not a party hostel, but people who stayed seemed perfectly nice. Really recommend it, especially if you're older and want a good atmosphere. I stayed here while trying to find a job and an apartment.

Directions weren't easy, because of no street names. So exit the U of C exit for the norte exit of O'Higginns, turn right, and the first street you come to has no sign. Turn right-- that's Lastarria. It'll curve around, keep going, and just past a bunch of restaurants, is the street. Most places in Santiago don't have heat or insulation nor hot water in the sinks, so just be ready.

Perfect location in the heart of Larrister. Easy to get to via the metro. Restaurants and bars on your doorstep.

Nothing that stands out. Our room was a little chilly when we got there but we asked and were given a heater so after that it was fine.

Incredibly nice staff and amazing location. Maybe the best hostal I've ever stayed at, honestly.

Honestly can't think of a thing.

Location is perfect, next to Santa Lucia, in the very hip area. There is a street market on Sundays where you can shop for art and antiques. You can easily walk to Mercado Central, Parque Forestal, Museo de Bellas Artes and Bella Vista. Staff is extremely nice and helpful, Sebastian speaks English very well and he is a helpful, smiling face you will be happy to see every morning. Place is cosy, decorated in bohem style. I stayed in habitacion no.4 with a nice balcony looking over the street. Would definitely come back.

The staff at the hostel were excellent very helpful in every way possible, in fact went out of their way and could not be nicer. Sebastien on the front desk speaks excellent English and helped me by making phone calls to many different people (my Spanish is non existant), without his help i could not have done much. It is a family run business and all of them very friendly and welcoming. I could not praise them more. Also it is far from noisy at night and i stayed for 15 nights in total. There was an English girl working there at the time (Sofie), who was also a great help.

There was not anything i did not like.

    - great location, next to great area of one of Santiago's hill, close to both center (15min walk) and party area in Bella Vista (10min), also there's supermarket on Av. Merced close by - very friendly management keen to help with everything - delicious breakfast - the place is well looked after

    - prices in Chile and especially in Santiago are considerably higher than elsewhere in Latin America, but there's not much to do about it - the hostel is still good value for what you can get elsewhere

Wonderful, helpful, and friendly staff, always willing to lend a hand. Wonderful location, literally in the middle of a bunch of cafes, a short walk to the most prominent sites of interest, and just a couple minutes walk to the metro. Breakfast is simple but satisfying. Wi-Fi is absolutely top-notch. Also, the poker theme that's present throughout the entire place is classy and fun (and it's not often the decor of a place is worth noting).

There's only a couple shared bathrooms throughout the whole place. There's no air conditioning in the rooms, which may be a problem in hotter months. Also, I don't think they clean your room unless you specifically ask.

Great location, very close to cerro Santa Lucia, the city center, nice restaurants, bars and metro. The hostel is nice, the staff is friendly and helpful.

We had to wait 15 min everyday to get the breakfast. Some trouble with shower temperature.
