People are friendly here, the place is really clean and location is good yet.. If you did the mistake of booking this place then make sure that you write the address on a paper. There is nothing outside to say that there is a hotel here. The place is really old but renovated house. The have small heater in the room which does nothing. It is cold in here!. The floor is made of old wood boards so you can here everyone walking. In fact, you hear everything happening in the house from your room. Breakfast is served between 8 and 10. You have to ask for your breakfast and you might end up waiting for them about 20min as there might be others waiting.. Don't think that your getting a hot breakfast!! they only need to heat a piece of bread and make you a coffee.. you will get a slice of ham and cheese to go with it. Add on top the don't accept cards! so be ready with cash.
Location is really good
The lady who worked there was so friendly and helpful,
Has old floor boards so can get a bit noisy depending on who the other guests are
Good value for location
The owner went out of his way to make the stay awful ! We were not met when we arrived. We went to a local restaurant and called and someone met us after the meal. We were moved from one room to the next each day with an explanation that did not match the events and the last day we were told breakfast stopped at 10am not 11am as each day before. We actually paid 2000clp more one day after being quoted a lower price. It appeared the owner was using bait and switch. My vacation was a week longer than our last day here but we moved to avoid the daily drama! This is a nice place but I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!
Excellent location. Safe to walk round at night, with lots of bars and eateries.. 10min walk to metro.. Lovely breakfast. Greeted with a hug and a smile (used this place twice on our trip)..
Struggled at times with communication, but that is as much my poor Spanish as their poor English.. Excellent place. Defo stop there again..
The maid was very helpful. I gave my laundry to nearby place and I had to pick up before it closes but I wanted to visit the city. The maid volunteered to pick it up and leave it in my room. She did that without forgetting.
When I reached there, there was no one there to answer the door. Finally, neighbor suggested to knock hard on the window and the lady came from upstairs. I was lucky but the next day, two other people were trying to get a hold of her but could not. I had to pay right away when I arrived. I did not have pesos and she asked for little higher rate than usual for dollars. For airport transport, when asked she suggested Taxi or Metro but did not provide the option of collective taxi that picks you up from the hotel. Luckily my friend knew about this and collective taxi was convenient and far more cheaper.
This place is great! so clean and the beds are supercomfy, friendly staff, big room, spa bath,...
limited wifi but that's normal in these parts of the country
This place was nice if you really like your own space and privacy. It is separated from the main place where you get your keys and when we were there it was very quiet and had the whole place to ourselves. The bed was really comfortable but the bathroom was tiny and had a really small shower. The floor was broken and they were definitely doing some fixing up because there was random stuff all over the place which was a bit odd. The breakfast was great one day and then not the next which was also odd. It was close to the subway so it was easy to get everywhere. It didn't feel like a hotel or B and B but it was oddly nice at the same time!
Where to start! It was a brilliant stay here at the B&B.. We were made to feel very welcome, very homely atmosphere. Breakfast was lovely, cheese, bread, eggs, jam, butter, fruit and yoghurt.. tea, coffee or hot choccie made especially for us and served to us on the little patio area.. Nice start to the day! Shower always hot.. Its like staying in someone's home, the walls thin, and the floor boards very creaky- so this place is definitely for people who respect other people and noise levels! You could use the microwave and kettle, that was a nice touch! We would definitely stay here again..
There wasn't a member of staff here 24 hours- so you have to state when you will be here otherwise no one will be about to let you in. We got held up at a border crossing and arrived 4 hours late, luckily another guest let us use his ipad so we could email the owner. We did not have to wait long before we got let in though. Our room was right next door to the living/breakfast area so it was noisy in the mornings when everyone is sat around the table. Apart from that it was a very pleasant stay, with a lovely family running the place! We would definitely stay here again..
No receipt after payment even when required (illegally open place?) No match between the reserved room and the one we got. No place as to keep luggage before check in or after checking out. No staff available as to help us during most of the day.
They recibed us really late at night. The staff was really nice and helpfull. There was parkijg space in the street in front.
The room was a bit small.
Nice breakfast, great location
They did not let us store our bags there on the last day even though there is clearly room for luggage storage
flexible with last minute reservation, very good value for money (but don't expect too much), few minutes walk to Metro, nice breakfast..
Small bathroom (but clean), no door sign, write down address before you go.
The staff was very generous and helpful. They took good care. Not like normal hotels but a friendly homely atmosphere to give a feel good feeling to visitors like me.
