The Dragon King Hostel is ideally in the heart of Beijing, a 5-minute walk from line 5 Zhangzizhong Road subway station. Housed in a historic Beijing courtyard, it provides free Mandarin lessons.

Nice cozy lounge area with jazz music and good coffee and hot chocolate. Nice staff and helpful tour agent. 5 min from metro and 15 from wangfugèn walking market.
Small room Wifi inconsistent
The position near Metro and main road, the hutong, the helpful staff.
TV noise from near rooms.
Great place, great staff. I can't complain about anything
The hotel is really well located, in the middle of the best Hutong, close to Forbidden City and Wangfunjing Street. You have the MTR just one block away. The staff is really helpful and all of them speak english. The room was not to big, but it was confortable and bright. The hotel has a cozy common area, so if you want to relax there, you can. The restaurant on the left, on the same sidewalk of the hotel, is amazing. You will see a lot of chinese people doing queue, it really worth it. Don't get wrong, the restaurant is the brown one.
They must take the carpet out, it is really dirty. The bar is really nice but it is a little expensive, it was a pity because you have the right place and they play the right music, but you can get a bigger beer for the third part of the price just beside the hotel.
Good price. Nice chill out lounge/coffee shop/bar down stairs. Helpful staff. 3 of us in family room were comfortable. 30 min walk to forbidden city. 10 min to metro. Cool little restaurants full of locals nearby.
everything was ok, location close to subway, 15 min walk away from Wangfujing ave.
The location is very convenient. So close with many touristic spots.
Everthing you need is present. comfortable, clean (the coffee shop is quiant and cosy but rather dusty) and local restaurants on the same street. We had a 24hr stopover with guide and car, so I cannot really comment on the locality, and had no need of internet!
Near the station and supermarket. Friendly staff (except one lady but generally all the staff were very accommodating). Cafe is really cozy. If you get tired speaking English and trying to eat outside, the cafe is a good place to hang out.
Room rag is quite dirty but still okay. Poor room wifi - stayed in two rooms and both rooms have poor wifi connection
Close to subway. The hutong setting lets you get immersed in the huzzle and buzzle of local life.
Better directions needed to find the place.
Very clean, friendly staff and excellent location for the city.
Staff is great, every question has an answer. English is very good that is not regular to China. The hotel is very close to the city center and also to the subway. Close shops and good restaurants. The internet is very good, no connection to Google or Facebook Bcs of China rules.
No elevator to the 5th floor. The water stream (in the shower) is to low for my taste.
The value for money just perfect. Close to the subway station and actually almost in the center, friendly and very helpful staff. The cleanliness corresponds to the price and level of the hotel - clean bathroom, fair bed and the rest of the room - i.e. for Chinese conditions very nice. :-) Worth Recommending!
Location is good, shops and eating facilities around. Staff helpful and friendly. Room nice and clean, tea making facilities very helpful.
I dont have anything that I didnt like, everything was good
Close to metro station Restaurants in the area Easy to find Reasonable sized room Quiet Good shower
No major tourist attractions in the area.
Friendliness of staff. Close approximity to subway.
The room (wall, carpet and washroom) needs a good scrub and clean. A proper wardrobe would be nice. The shower curtain is not long enough. Half of the toilet floor was soaked with water after shower.
The location was great and the cafe was cosy with great and unique decorations.
Nothing negative to comment.
Cafe area Good English speakers Tourist desk Location
Expensive for what is basically a hostel. At check in requested 200 yuan deposit Cash without prior warning, posters around the hotel warning you of rules and regulations - not very welcoming. Dusty room, dirty walls, smelly drains and very noisy in our room 102. Some kind of pipe or pump constantly making a loud noise throughout the night.
Close to subway, therefore close to nearly everything. Very attentive staff
Excellent staff. The girls (and boys) were welcoming every of our requests with a smile, wether it was about something in the room or asking about how to get somewhere. Really the staff makes a great difference here. Good job!
Our first room was in the basement, but, well, we knew that. It was really small, with not much space for luggage if you wanted to walk freely. If you can, ask for a room on the higher floor. The facilities are simple, but enough. Missing spoons for the cups (how are we supposed to stir a coffee or a tea?) Unfortunately no breakfast available. Found a few long black hair here in there (not our).
this is not a three star at all, it goes with low price for a reason: totally a dirty poor place! Don't be fooled by the price shown online!
Could get right fairly close to hotel via the metro from the airport. Very friendly and helpful staff. There is a great local restaurant right next door with incredible food and cheap prices. There is also a cafe attached on the other side that is well liked in the city.
Nothing overly bad stands out.
wifi disappointing walls could use some paint carpet in the lounge area should be replaced
