The location in the wetlands. Staff could not do enough to please and help us. We had a great send off. Alex was particularly helpful and friendly. This is a small hotel with unusual features - such as a hip bath in the room but it does have charm. Breakfast and evening meal was very good. Pleasant ambience. The hallways are looking very tired. and shabby. Also the walls are very thin so you could be disturbed by noisy neighbours. No access to facilities at sister hotel the Bayan Tree. The white menu was very limited and did not have the wine availabe as listed. However the staff did manage to find it in the end and gave a complimentary glass for the inconvience.

Some teething problems because hotel is new the air conditioning didn't work too well. Staff tried very hard to please but very few could speak English You should allow guests to use their angsana room acnt to charge All Banyan tree facilities. There should be free pool and gym access to Banyan , like we were used to in Bintan Angsana/Banyan tree
