Great location in the (former) french concession area. The rooms are getting outdated and not really 4 star.... It's not broken or dirty but not quite ' fresh'. Staff is, well, chinese, but not bad. outdated rooms

Nice location; there's always somebody speaking quite good English at the reception desk, and the staff is helpful; rooms are big enough and clean; beds are comfortable; there's a lovely little parrot living in a big cage in the garden near one of the restaurants. Delux rooms don't have balconies; the flat screen is not flat at all; all the restaurants and bars close at 22-22.30; quite basic service range for this type of a hotel.

The location was perfect, close to all forms of transportation; train, bus and taxi. There are also many restaurants and bars, which were conveniently located nearby to the hotel. The design of the hotel is very colonial, which would be appealing to those seeking an alternative lodging experience. The water pressure in the shower was weak and the bath tub clogged up easily. The hotel appeared empty and the restaurant closed early or didn't open up to serve people at all.

Location was very good. Reception staff of the hotel was helpful + bedroom very clean + free access to internet in order to quickly read your mail. The bakground music (an opera song of ) played everywhere in the hotel (reception, lobby, restaurant,..) during our stay was always the same... The breakfast buffet was too repetitive. You have to pay extra money if you want to take a last shower in the spa before your departure. The groom did not help to take the luggage when we arrived. The bed matras was very hard + no matras foreseen in the baby cot for our baby.

Fornisce un kit per il bagno molto assortito per ogni necessità. Posizione nella zona francese vicino a metro,locali e negozi. Business room per computer e stampe gratuiti. Il personale non parla molto l'inglese ma credo che a Shanghai il problema sia comune. Visto però il livello dell'hotel mi aspetterei maggiore preparazione.

Bonne localisation, proche de trois stations de métro. sans être luxueux, c'est un hôtel tout à fait bien pour le prix. Horaires de salle de sport très limités: 9:00 à 21:00.

Hotellets bemötande från första dagen när vi anlände med taxi från flygplatsen till sista dagen när vi lämnade var helt outstanding. Personalen var duktig på engelska vilket var bra då vår kinesiska är obefintlig. Hotellets läge på en liten "bakgata" bortom allt störande ljud från den ständigt pågående trafiken men ändå bara fem minuter från T-banan vid Hengshang Road gjorde att vår vistelse I Shanghai I denna del överträffade alla våra förväntningar. Positive: Its located in the french concession, nice area of Shanghai and nearby metrostation Hengshan Lu. Negative: Rooms are out-dated, airconditioning made a lot of noice, you need earplugs for a good nightrest. Will definetely stay in french concession area again, but not in this hotel.

Nice Hotel next to Heng Shan Lu, can reach everything in short time. The rooms are clean and well furnished, the service personnel is best, friendly and helpful in terms of car reservation. Great place to stay!

I pleasant traditional hotel in a very good location in the French Concession area in Shanghai. Located in a quiet street close to several metro stations and many restaurants and cafés (also western style). The rooms are nice and the staff pleasant. At the time of our visit (early April), on cold and windy days, it became rather chilly in our room since the glass windows were not very tight.
