close to the airport, staff are fine
room number is difficult to understand, room is too small, facilities are not well marked or informed
Chinese restaurant on 2nd floor was very good and reasonably priced. Comfortable bed Location- next to airport for early morning flight Good choice at breakfast buffet, even at 6am (they officially start breakfast at 6.30am but you can go at 6am).
We booked the standard "Superior king" room for the night as we had a long lay over on our way to our final holiday destination. The room was good overall however, the shower curtain was mouldy and had remnants of hair dye from previous guest(s)- for the sake of good first impressions, why can't they be bothered to change the inexpensive shower curtain? The curtain barrier between the room and glass window of bathroom was also mouldy. We paid for the more expensive Executive room and was upgraded to a suite the next time we stayed there (on the return leg of the same trip) and this time it was much better, without the above issues. The Western restaurant on the ground floor was not so good- the burger we ordered was bland.
Location for the airport. Perfect when you have an early flight.
Room was smelly, check in was so slow, swimming pool was ugly and not heated. Staff spoke very poor English.
Close to airport, wifi, bed
Smell of smoke in a non smoke room
Proximity to airport was paramount as we arrived after midnight and had to catch a flight at 9.30 next morning. Would have appreciated the transfer carts being available at that time, as the hotel knew of our late arrival and the late arrival of several airline crews. Instead we had to drag our bags to the hotel in the lightly falling rain. We had been to the hotel a few days earlier as we had a wait between planes, and found the bar and tapas area very comfortable with delicious nibbles.
When we wanted to pay in advance for our room at half past midnight this caused a major problem, so the maid was sent to our room to clear out the minibar to ensure we did not use it. As we were leaving again at 6.00am that was unlikely!
Close to airport
Nothing not to like if your transiting
personal not friendly. price too high, ask also room for my friend, even higher price. Not clean my table after half houre away. ask smoking room with kingsize bed, get twin bed non-smoking. bed not good dressed up. food simple and high price
I have stayed at this hotel many times on business - it's location for the airport is excellent, very comfortable and clean.
When we arrived at the hotel after a long journey from the UK, we found that they had given our rooms away - we had booked these rooms well in advance through booking.com, giving details of the time of our arrival. Their reasoning behind this is that we had not paid a security deposit - one we have never been asked to pay. After over half an hour arguing with staff (who told us that the price of a comparable room was now more than double!!) we finally got a room - not something you want after travelling for over 24 hours. The second night, I went to the spa - and as ever (this is a recurring theme when I stay at this hotel) there were no beauticians available for ANY treatments. This was 6pm - I don't understand why there is never anyone available?! Overall, I repeatedly find the service at this hotel to be poor.
It was so close and easy to get to from the airport. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was georgous and very confortable. Excellent value for money. The breakfast in the morning catered for all tastes and there was as much as you want. Highly tecomnended.
The best thing this hotel has going for it is location. It is the only one right at the airport that allows you to walk to your check in point. Probably worth paying the few extra hundred Yuan for this benefit vs the others a shuttle drive away.
Don't forget any cellphone charges in your room when you check out. I did and they were gone when I checked back a day later.
Location, clean and proper price
Long line at the reception to check in
Convenience to airport and very quiet Facilities are high standards
The overhead shower did not work. 68 rmb for a very very small glass of white wine was too expensive.
5 minutes walk from Airport and metro station, nice room with confortable bed. very good breakfast. complimentary bottles of water. nice bathroom design with transparent wall.rather quiet even when airport is near.
not a big deal but when stayed 1 night just before my flight - was asked for 200 USD deposit...
Nice hotel with perfect location, good wi-fi, very good restaurant with european kitchen
The price is rather high
The location 5 mins walk from international arrivals well signposted and accessible by exiting out of Doors 11-13 in Departures check in area (opposite Desk 11). Chic interior decor and all areas so very spacious.
Stayed here a few times and this is the first visit that I have noticed high F&B pricing. Tip: Small minibar beer is 36rmb++ so stretch legs and wallet by returning by same walk to airport and take escalators two levels down and turn right to 7/11. Same beer 6.5rmb cold to takeaway. McD's on level above if desperate.
The gymn and facilities were first class.
Pullman doesn't have a place to eat sandwiches and other small items. Sometimes you do not want a full meal. I had to go to the airport for this. You are missing business!!
Service in bar, but note comment in other box. Assistance by English speaking manager.
Floor configurations were VERY confusing. Use of two cards (one for access one for electricity supply) unusual - never had before in major hotels. Secondary staff with minimal English made communication difficult. (this needs improving!) (Bar food - thick chunks of ham in a sandwich are not what Western guests appreciate)
The Baiyun Airport hotel is attached to the airport, and so is in a perfect location for someone who has an overnight stay between flights. There is a Metro stop in the airport, and so it is relatively easy to head off into Guangzhou to explore. The room is not large but still roomy enough. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is well appointed.
The food offerings are not cheap. The hotel restaurants all tend to the high end, and the offerings in the airport are not cheap and are rather limited. A good coffee, especially, can be hard to find at times.
Good location if you arrive too late in Canton to take bus or train to other city. Nice rooms, cosy and comfortable, very spacious, all you need is there, included 24h room service with food etc (nice breakfast at about 10 euros available from the menu). Almost perfect.
Stuff on the reception is a little bit long and a not perfectly trained. I asked for water during my check-in, and lady said something like "You will have it in room" O_o For instance, I'm pregnant woman after 10 hours plane, so I found that not very classy as answer :(
service level of the staff
Very clean rooms. Helpful staff that knew some English. Bottled water available in rooms free of charge. Slippers and other toiletries provided free of charge. A luxury experience. Located next to the Baiyun Int'l Airport.
Much more expensive than most hotels in Guangzhou. Requires a large deposit in addition to the rental charge.
