location, very close to the subway and easy access to all the important places in the city The comfort was fine and the wifi facility was much needed. budget friendly place. 1. difficult to locate at first.. the original name of the hotel is zhangquong hutong inn and not Beijing hutong inn... there are like hundreds of streets ending with hutong but it was difficult to locate zhangwang hutong coz there is a public toilet banner in front of it.

Location - close to subway and easy access to main attractions; Price - good value for money. Cheapest rooms don't have a window - quite depressing, if you don't mind to pay a bit more opt for one with a window. There is an odd smell from the bathroom - I was told this is quite common in China though.

Location is quite good and easy for any connection in a city by subway. If u like to prepare breakfast by yourself, it is possible. Nice place to have a sleep only. Fair choice for Beijing. Toilet is typical for Chinese standard, but Europeans usually doesn't like it. Food choice is quite poor.

The price is ok (but just ok) for the rooms, they are comfortable and have good ac and tv. Really good location. The wifi doesn't work properly. The rooms in the lower floor are really smelly. The shower is opened.

Very good spot in Beijing. Close to a metro station and close to the main turist places. Recommend to eat at Nanluogu Xiang street. A nice walking street among the hutongs. The hotel is okay for the low price, clean linnen but otherwise nothing special. I recommend this hotel for those who are okay with hostel standard. The personal are not so service minded and not so good in English. The breakfast is toast with marmelade and a fried egg that you have to cook by yourself.

The location was great, right next to a metro station (which made it delightfully easy to move around Beijing) and near the bell and drum towers. Staff was helpful, value for cost was great, and the wifi had multiple access points to obtain the best signal. Inn was a little bit difficult to find because it is on a small road in a older district that has limited traffic. Beds were a bit hard by western standards, but as I understand it, rather soft compared to other beds in Asia. The Chinese seem to be very tolerant of smoking, and I discovered that a "non-smoking" room means that the room's carpet has been shampooed between users. My first room was still terribly smoky, but they were able to move me to another room without too much trouble which was much better for my needs.

The area was nice a touch of old Beijing. Very close to the Subway. Staff were friendly. Overall good price and clean hotel. The bed was quite hard and the walls in the room were paper thin. Breakfast looked very poor quality so bad we didnt even want to try and it was included.

Great location very close to subway stop and short walk from Hou Hai area (restaurants, bars and sightseeing). Wifi running through building. Good value for money. Very basic setup (cheap doors, basic environment) - but to be expected at this price range.

The location is very good as it is close to subway and Drum tower in just a few minutes. There are two things I dislike about this hotel. The hotel staff is not so friendly and calling local area is charged comparing to those two I stayed in Beijing. Every door room has a problem with difficulty to close all the time. Whenever people closed their doors, they had to slam the door every time.

Great place good value for money clean rooms, Wifi working without any problems great location - walkign distance - up to an hour stroll to the forbidden city, next to a street full of bars and restaurants, the famous Hutong is close as well I would apreciate more authentic breakfast... Did not go to china to eat omlette and not really fresh veggies...

Great Location. Great value for money. Comfortable clean rooms. They asked for their money on the second day. They also asked for insurance money in Chinese Yuan that they returned on checking-out when you have no time for shopping or for money transfer.

I would like the location (close to the subway e quite a lot turistic spots). Also the price was good. A lot of restaurants around. The location sounds a little wierd when I arrived, but I found out it safe to walk around and more beautiful at night, with all that collored lights on. No elevator - I have problems on my knees and they did not helped me with my luggage. They carge high fares to the transfer airpor-hotel- airport. It is possible to pay 25% of their price in a regular taxi (on the meter). You just have to hold visibly a paper with the address you want to go.

Hotel building itself is not specially characteristic but surrounded by old hutong atmosphere. Old Bell Tower & Drum Tower is very close. And small arrays(hutong) between hotel and these site are full of local. It must be very interesting most of foreign tourist. I am Japanese living in Tokyo and think it is impossible to meet such a local breathe street at inner circle of Tokyo. And looks like some local food stall with english menu. Reception staff speak enough English. wifi connection is OK. There is no shower curtain in bath room.

I liked the interesting Hutong area and it was also convenient for the Houhai lake area and its surrounding bars. It had quite comfortable clean rooms with good heating and the staff were helpful with my enquiries.

Close to metro station, quite clean (for Chinese standards) and for reasonable price. Overall a good hotel. Staff's english isn't very good (but you get to understand each other after some effort) The wifi is flaky, slow and frequently drops. Breakfast is quite limited in variety and doesn't change.
