Rooms clean. The staff helpful. Nearby are many restaurants. The nearest metro is located within 10-15 minutes walking distance. About the same distance from the Forbidden City and other downtown attractions (Night Market, Tiananmen Square, etc.)
difficult to find the first time
Location and room were ok
The staff do not speak English. Every time we asked for information it felt like we were bordering them. The internet does no work very well
It had a bed to sleep in the air con worked
Shower leaked The air conditioning leaked the beds were rock hard more like a very Spartan hostel
The hotel is reasonably priced and the standard should be expected, however it was a pleasant stay and the staff were helpful
Only two tea bags for two people staying for three days
location is good banquet staff is very good and had a good are to hang out if with friends
smelly toilets, bad front desk staff.
Location is OK Each room has a window Hotel on a quite stret
Staff not very helpful and doesn´t speak english Rooms are not extra clean
Location and price.
Staff unhelpful. No water in the rooms. 1 key per room.
Great location in the vicinity of Tiananmen & Palace, Wanggfujing; attractive scenery around; really nice room; helpful staff; good value for money; clean and quiet; the whole hotel gives an impresion that everyone do their best to offer good service to visitors
Rather modest breakfast offer; no central light in the bedroom - makes work at the desk difficult at night
-Great location -Cleaning every day (new towels and toothbrush) -Efficient air condition -Comfortable beds -Internet on the cable at room -Lcd tv (one channel in english) -Service always been able to talk in english, once better, once worse, but always
-Inefficient lighting in the room, was a little dark at night -The toilet after "2" was often clogged -Pretty hard to find the hotel
the location is in the middle between the spot famous place
the smelling in the room
It was located in the city center, although it was a little hard to find the first time (it's in an alley). It's relatively close to the forbidden city and a street with a mall (APM Beijing) where you can find some western food options (pizza hut and mcdonals) The room was clean. The AC worked.
First of all in booking.com this place is advertised as a hotel when the real name is Jade Youth HOSTEL. No internet in the rooms which is clearly notified here, but in the lobby the connection was really slow when I managed to connect to the network. They don't provide water to drink in the room. I extended my stay one day and the staff offered me a room for a price then put me in a more expensive room and didn't give the whole deposit back, so be careful when they show you the price and everything. Since Beijing is a tourist town everyone is trying to scam you. I didn't try their breakfast because the price was expensive under Chinese standards. I suggest you try a subway that is very close to the hotel.
Location, walking distance from Wangfujin
Staff rude, they asked us to pay as soon as we arrived, I payed also for breakfast but in the morning the accused us to eat breakfast without paying for it and when they found out that they were wrong they didn't even apologize. They never make the bad and never cleaned while we stayed there.
The hotel wifi was so poor, the woman who served customers were so impolite.
We liked the the cleanliness of the hotel. It wasn't better than average, but was acceptable.
We picked this hotel for its proximity to the Forbidden City. The day we went to the Forbidden City, the location was nice, but it is really far from the metro so it takes a long time to get anywhere else. For the price, we also expected more helpful staff. They didn't know about many tourist attractions we asked about and weren't excited to tell us what they did know. We had a great week in Beijing. If I could change anything, the only thing I would change would be the hotel.
Good location and friendly service
There was always someone who spoke good english. Very close to forbidden city
Just be careful to ask where to take the taxi, in that part of the city there's a fence and taxis are not allowed to pick up passengers there
1. The staff was very helpfull when we needed to upgrade our phone credit on our Chinese simcard. 2. The airconditioning worked well. 3. The room was fairly clean for Western standards.
1. The staff helps Chinese speaking people first although we where waiting at the front desk longer then these Chinese people. This was really a deal breaker for me. 2. They offer 'western' breakfast, don't do this and have breakfast at the nearby shoppingmall (wangfuijang or something). The breakfast is awfull at the hotel, the bread is at least 2 days old and it's the only 'western' thing they offer. 3. The hotel is located in a small alley, taxi drivers are unable to find it when you show them the Chinese characters and therefore they don't want to bring you.
Super location; helpful staff; spoke English to me even when I spoke Chinese to them :)
near forbidden city
Affordability of the place and the friendly staff
location to wangfujing st,quite a bit of a walk and no wifi in the rooms
I went there with my girlfriend. The rooms were clean the hotel is nice and spacious. The bathroom is very nice and hygienic, room cleaning service did a good job daily. Nice big tv in the room with cable tv. Nice restaurant downstairs with good western food. Hotel is full of foreigners and very quiet. No disturbance as you would find in some other hotels of this price where locals are more predominant.
No subway access. Have to use a taxi or bus route. Bus route is pretty straight forward though..
It has got very good location. Confortable and clean.
Although it is a 3 star hotel rather it is a hostel.
the location is good. the cleanness is okay.
there is no air conditioning, there no slippers. the shower is not convenient to use, the water will spill out to the floor. the room is small for two persons. the rooms by the alley side are not isolated well from noise. breakfast: the variety is not enough, and the service is poor.
Friendly, English speaking personal and for Chinese circumstances extremely clean :)
