The staff is very poor in english
Staff, quite rude. Bed is bit hard
-Close to the subway station -Good location in the city: not far from main spots by subway - Clean - Wifi working without any problem - AC in the room, very useful in Beijing - No noise during the night - Washing machine in the hotel
- The room is small - Sometimes water does not sink so well in the bathtub - No window in the room - Bathroom is seperated from the room by transparent glass
they cannot in English ( Staff Hotel cannot english )
Location, near the Temple of Heaven, free water at reception
No shower towels, only small ones
The Location: Temple of heaven was walking distance from the hotel. there are shops , coffee shops and restaurants like KFC, pizza hut, Mcd, subway etc were about 700 to 900 meter pearl market is close. there is subway station not very far from the hotel. electric kettle :) there is mini market where you can buy drinks and snacks right next to the hotel. its quite area - it is actually inside a residential compound so you won't be hearing bus noises in early morning :) cheers ^_^
there are only small towels for drying your face or hand. so bring your big towel if you plan to shower there hehe :) no toothpaste or toothbrush, again bring yours. there is no soap. there is only a shampoo so you might want to bring a soap with you :) no drinking water, make sure before you check in the hotel you buy drinking water from the near by mini market. there is 2 paper cups in the room but no coffee or tea bags. So you might want to bring yours if you like drinking coffee or tea there are no slippers, so if you are staying for a while you can buy one its not expensive anyways. if you are staying for short stay I do not think you need it. The TV is only Chinese channels. location is not easy to find staff do not speak English, but its not a problem since I speak little Chinese. if you do not speak Chinese make sure you download an application on your phone that say essential sentences or learn common words and short sentences.
Close to the metro "Tian Tan Dong Men"(天坛东门), line 5. Also close to a very popular market "Hong Qiao"(pearl market, but you can buy not only pearls there, almost like the Silk market) Fare price for twin room. Stuff is friendly, some of them can speak English. Wifi in rooms is not bad. Free maps of Beijing for tourists in the lobby.
Towels are small and there was not enough of them, we always asked for more. If you need cups, toilet paper, shampoo or soap, you should ask the reception or stuff, because often they forget to put it in your room.
The Pearl market is very close.
People don't know where the hotel.
The hotel was fairly priced, well sound proofed and within walking distance to several decent restaurants and the Temple of Heaven. It started off with a coffee machine, which went out of order several days into our visit. This was also true of vending machine that had toiletries and general goods, although we did discover on the last day we were there, that we could purchase small packets of detergent from the front desk. There was a washing machine on the fourth floor, but no dryer.
The hotel was very hard to find. If you are intending to stay there I recommend coming out of the Tiantandongmen stop, exit B, on line 5 and walking North, over the road and past the pearl market. When you get to the end of the Pearl Market turn right down a side street. Keep walking straight along this road and you'll eventually come to Bestay Hotel. The walk should take about 15 minutes. The hotel itself had a very hostel like feel, which wasn't bad, but did mean there was a lot of tourist traffic, a bad Wifi connection that didn't work properly in the rooms and a very small, often crowded public area on the bottom floor where everyone congregated to try and get access to a stronger connection. There was a small mart next door with a limited selection of snacks and toiletries which was very handy when it was open, but seemed to close at erratic times. Other marts were a long walk (about half an hour to a 7-11 in the opisite direction to the subway, or 10-15 to a small supermarket with very unfriendly staff.) The hotel itself had poor amenities, with every single vending machine in the hotel being out of order by the end of our visit. If you're planning to stay we recommend picking up water on your way back! Staff were mostly friendly, but had poor English abilities. The "Do not disturb" sign on our hotel door was ignored, so make sure you take all your valuables with you when you leave your room.
Location located in area easy to reach subway
No wi fi in rooms. Very little English. No English TV in room.
This place is affordable and cozy. Has everything you need including wifi. Just be warned that the staff do not speak English. It is also a little hard to find and my taxi driver from the airport severely struggled. Trick is to tell them to head for Hong Qiao pearl market and turn onto Fahuasi Jie (Fahuasi Street) and keep going down the tight street until they see it come up on the right. I'd recommend it to anyone
The rooms are fairly tiny but cozy. Great for someone who wants to spend all day seeing Beijing but not great for someone who likes to relax at the hotel. They do have a decent couch area in the lobby, however.
Not far to walk to Pearl Market, Temple of Heaven, buses and MTR
Have to walk around 1km to transport.
The hotel's room is good clean but my only comment is there's no privacy if you share a room with a friend because the bathroom is glass and when you shower the person in the room would really see your naked body.
Internet is so slow and most of the time we couldn't connect. I would have enjoyed more if the location is nearer to most of the tourist spots or at least nearer to a subway stop.. the subway stop is like a 15 minute walk
Value for money... Clean room
Hard to find this hotel... The room is so small..
Very nice, spacious and clean room. Good value.
The staff is ignorant and does not speak English. The wi-fi does not work properly.
Good location, just walking distance from the tiantandongmen station and temple if heaven:)
Staff is not friendly. Seems that he hates visitors. A person comes all the way to beijing to appreciate its beauty, which includes people's culture too, and all you get is a snobbish attitude. It is like telling you, oh well you can only afford a cheap hotel, so no need for pleasantries. But, anyway did not care so much abt him, the hotel is still worth it for the price. Take off that staff and bestay hotel will live up to its name:)
We liked its proximity to the Pearl Market, the Temple of Heaven, and the subway. Plus a variety of food options were nearby, ranging from street food to higher-end cuisine. The place was comfy enough, and the price was more than ok.
Some of their staff were accomodating and cooperative (the cleaning ladies/gents tended to be nice), but let's just say a few of them needed a good smackdown and a lesson in customer service. Oh, and they only provide hand towels and soap (though they do have vending machines at the lobby), but I'd say bring your own towels. Some rooms don't have a partition between the shower area and toilet, so if you're iffy about that, yeah, good luck. Lol no. That's what Google Translate is for XD On that note, the staff know only a little English, so that app would most defo be useful. WiFi on the iPhone for some reason is stable enough, but my laptop was basically useless (they have a LAN cable thingy which didn't exactly work either). Google Maps doesn't work in China, which was a nightmare. But that's not the hotel's fault.
the room was ok for the money.
Staff on the last day told us they will not call a taxi as the train station is to close, so we had to go to the main road and try to find one, this would not big a big problem normaly but people here are not helpful in the slightest!!!!!!!
-Room was quite comfortable and dark, was able to sleep whole nights without waking up. -Bathroom curtain and door kept water out from the bedroom area -Small, Compact and clever design of rooms but did not feel like it was cramped. -Reception staff were friendly and prompt
-Wi-Fi was terrible, longest duration I was able to use it for was 30min before it dropped out and was unusable. -Cable Internet was unusable. Notified staff to fix it and Wi-Fi problem- they could not resolve either: Assume no internet access in room except in the lobby area downstairs. have to use your own data and tethering or mobile internet. -I don't think they replace fresh new towels everyday, even though I put my towels on the floor. -No toothbrush, toothpaste, comb etc provided. -Slight difficulty in locating hotel. Should provide more signage indicating the location along the main roadway leading towards it within the apartment estate.
Very comfortable and clean room but a little bit small. Very polite staff. Near is a lot of chinese and european restaurants, fast food. Undergraund station and bus stops are also very closed.
After 6pm wi-fi speed is completely slow
near to subway station and Temple of Heaven, shoping mall and restaurants. Reasonable price
The room was too small, only 10 meter square, if you want stay only 2-3 night it's ok, but longer can be burdensome
The hotel is located a few minutes from the pearl market (excellent for shopping!) and the temple of heaven. You also have a metro station pretty close to go to the rest of the touristic places. Facilities were good, better than expected since it was one of the cheapest places we found in Beijing. Good value for money
The room was very small and the evening staff doesn't speak any English.
The staff was very friendly and English speaking. Rooms were rather clean. The location is also very good. Good value for money.
The window - is just a name :) It's more likely a transparent ventilation whole. The the air conditioner was stinking, so we didn't use it. The toilet and shower partition is made of transparent glass - so you can see everything in the bathroom while being in the living room :)
Just a few blocks from subway station, and not far from center of city. We found it easy to get anywhere from there. Next to the subway station is Tiantan (Temple of Heaven), a must see. It's a huge, beautiful park with amazing ancient buildings.
Very thin walls between rooms. Room was very plain and basic, but fine for the price. We'd stay there again.
clean basic room, no problem with an extra pillow/comforter; not far from a subway st; small convenience store at the corner;
slow wifi - hutong at the other side of the street - shouting at night; the last 200m of Fahuasi st is not nice - a lot of cars - one hast to walk on the street
