Room 1228. Great room. Bathroom with bath and shower, view, good bed (for China).Very elegant. Wifi in the room.

Unfortunately the pool, etc. was off limits due to a vip affair. Asked for and got 3 days' free breakfasts as accommodation.

Ideal Location for Tourists. Walk distance to Temple of Heaven, Forbidden City and Tianamen Square. Shopping Street, malls, supermarkets, restaurants. Gym, Pool, Tennis Court, Various restaurants. Very good breakfast.

Dirty Carpets. Complicated access by car because of the massive traffic. Dirty carpets

Location in Beijing. Walking distance to Tianmen Square and the Forbidden City. Older part of the City.

We were on a Tour of China and were staying a this Hotel, for 3 nights, because that is where the Tour company booked us. We choose to stay an extra night, at our own expense, rather than moving to another Hotel. We found the Hotel had availibility,for that extra night, on Booking.com and reserved our Room. The price was more than half of what was quoted to us by the Hotel. We received our confirmation right away. The Hotel claimed that they had not received the confirmation even when we produced the number. They asked us to come back after 8:30a.m. In the morning ..thereby leaving us "hanging" as to whether we should pack up and find another Hotel or not! We believe the Hotel was checking their occupancy for that extra night and were going to refuse our reservation if they had filled up. Not a very Honest Policy on behalf of the Hotel! So I would not recommend them for this reason.

We stayed here as it was a bargain offer from the internet and thought we would treat ourselves at the end of a gruelling sightseeing trip. Worth the extra as it is a great location for all in and out of the city. 5 mins walk from the metro speeded up our getting around and helped us to fit more sightseeing in. We didn't use many of the hotel facilities as we were out most of the day. We stopped briefly in the bar on the ground floor. Good service but all the bars and restaurants seemed very quiet. Would stay here again and recommend it to others. Ignore any comments about hard beds - they were hard but no harder than any elsewhere in China. We slept deeply!

the hotel is very old in the style and in the services, not comparable to other 5 stars. bathroom in any room (mine and one of other friends) old and with unbereable stink all day!

Capital Hotel is situated close to many interesting historic places in Beijing. Walking distance to subway. We liked the pool/gym and good breakfast. We had dinner on the Italian restaurant/top floor. Nice view, welltasting pasta & good service. Can recommend this hotel.

Late in the evening with the restaurants closed, one waiter prepared for me a really excellent hand-made cup of cappuccino. He also let me take the restaurant cup and saucer back to my room on the understanding that I returned it later, which of course I did. Crazy hotel price but great coffee and really good service.

My room was fine except the carpet, which would benefit from a professional clean.

Design and comfort, very cosy room, facilities good, convenient place. Stay second time here and would like to stay during next visit

The staff's attitude (they could speak poor English, unhelpful and charged the bill), the breakfast which was mostly Chinese (for a 5 star hotel unacceptable). The room price was much higher than I had booked, without any explanation. Even if I had booked a room with free wireless internet, they wanted to charge me separately because only the wired internet was available at that moment. After a discussion with the in charge manager they provided free wired internet. But they tried to add the internet cost to the bill. The floor carpet was very dirty. The hotel would hardly deserve 3 stars.

Everything you need for a good price.

The location on the booking.com map was not correct. It was about 1km farther East.

Excellent location - we never got a taxi to local attractions only the Great Wall. Restaurants, malls, Tienanmen, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and Museum of China all within a 20 minute walk. Air Conditioning perfect - and much needed given the air quality outside! Upgraded to a better room with separate lounge as they only had smoking rooms left and we wanted non smoking. Extremely helpful staff.

Bed was hard, but its the normal for China and you get used to it. Staff struggled with English, only a few could speak it. which some people may take issue with, but all went out their way to help.

Excellent location, the hotel has everything prohibiday city near the subway. ATM features, and the breakfast very good and complete

не супер, но хороший отель. главный плюс - рядом с основными достопримечательностями - пешком 5 минут. завтрак нормальный (допол. плата). кровати очень жесткие, это национальная особенность. имейте ввиду, что допол. берут 15%, об этом указано, но забываешь.
