strategic location, within walking to nanjing roads, the hotel staff very helpful.

Hotel well situated in East Nanjing Rd above a large clothing store, within easy walking distance to subway train station, variety of places to eat,general shopping and The Bund. Staff friendly and obliging.Travel dates and train destinations were translated into Chinese for us at the reception desk. Near the lift on the ground floor train tickets can be purchased. Very convenient.

We were very happy with the hotel .

Previous stays have ben ok as we come to shanghai regularly. Location and staff have been great. The refurbishment causes problems when checking in but it is ok

Our last stay on Friday 29th we could hardly sleep due the toxic smell from chemicals or paint used on the floor where we stayed. When we came in late we were told we could have our money back and leave if we wished but with 2 children not an option. We did geta 200rmb discount but we are skeptical if we will use the hotel again. As there is another hotel we use which is more consistent in service. We felt the smell in the room was very unhealthy and we did not feel that management were completely supportive. We expected more from the hotel to make our stay comfortable. My recommendation is presently no but we have recommmended before this problem..

location was good for shopping and eateries. hop on hop off bus stop outside door. English speaking desk staff. had a room with 2 bedrooms and a lounge area. breakfast offered American or Chinese.

Very hard, uncomfortable beds! Rooms dated. Flooding shower. Needed a deep clean - dust/dirt everywhere!!

Location. Good for a short city trip. You cannot be closer to the center of action. The windows in the room are pretty poor but surprisingly no noise in the room (15th floor).

The room was spacious but definitely requires refurbishment. Daily cleaning could be improved. During my 4 days stay the carpet was not cleaned even once.

worst hotel to stay, it was 5 degree celcius and the hotel dint has hot water to take shower, i was with a collegue of mine and both the bathrooms dint had hot water. The rooms are very small with twin beds only and the bed is more like a baby cot..... we finally have to take shower with cold water, when we complained to the hotel staff his attitude was so casual. i will never recommend any one to use this hotel.

The locations was the best. The cost is not bad, actually it was exactly ok. If you are going to Xangai and want to be located in the best spot, few others will be so well placed.

The cleaning. The room was not clean at any time. They just take off the papers and put the bed. The heat did not work, but I can not complain because I never said anything to the hotel.

No wireless , was at the reception only My room lock not closing probely and they fixed on the same day No lobby , you have to approach the seventh floor to check in

The room is adequately furnish and quite comfortable..

It would be nice if the room has WiFi instead of LAN..

The location is certainly the best part of the hotel stay, in the centre of Nanjing Road, central to all shops, restaurants, transport, peoples square etc

The hotel is old and needs to be refurbished The room was only superficially clean The cleaners tried to clean as little as possible, empty the bins, change the towels and run out the door The airconditioning did not work for 4 of the 7 days I was there There are no "No smoking" rooms, only a room that smokers have previously occupied

Location was excellent......and I think thats about it. Nothing else was likable.

At the Check it appeared that they did not appreciate our booking through your Booking.com. They check us in, in a very un friendly manner. The guy at the reception look as if very recently he has had a fight with someone. We asked for Wifi, they said we have no wifi, we asked for clothes Iron....there was none. Its okay not to have these , but the way you say no....was like they slammed the reply on our faces. Finally at the check out time which was at 6am in the morning, I asked the reception, How long is it from your hotel to the Hongqiao Airport, they said at least one hour, which it took us 25 minutes...... Gloomy Interior, desserted lobby, non-curteous reception staff.....all made my stay a dissonance. I would not stay again....or recommend to anyone.

Stayed in Deluxe room, pleasantly surprised with the computor and free wireless service in the room. The bottle water dispenser which you can get instant hot/cold water was great.

Room was rather small, lack of security as there is a cabaret in the building using same lifts to rooms. Other than that we had a pleasant stay.

Location near shopping areas and hop & off tour bus right in front of the hotel building. Hot & cold water provided with 2 Tea bags.

1.Free WiFi not working on 15th floor, I was moved on the 14th f but it was slow internet, sometimes not getting thru, I was frustrated. 2.Breakfast not included 3.Room carpet was old, dirty & dusty. I've booked no smoking room but given a smoking room with matches and ashtrays 4.Noisy loud staff, slam the door often. Rooms thin walls.

Bed linen stained, lots of dust around. Air-conditioning not the best. Very noisy needs double glaze windows. Found a better one around the corner, better quality and better price and clean.

This hotel was in an excellent position where we were accessible to everything. The room was superb and the service from the hotel was also first class, I.E. fresh water for drinking every day, replacement of bathroom toiletries, maid service daily, wi-fi facilities F.O.C. flat screen tv and very large room. The staff were very friendly and there was an excellent dry cleaning service daily.

The only complaint was there was a very noisy chinese family in the next room, always shouting and the fact that one evening a family were brought to look at our room with no prior notice from the hotel.
