Up to standard on Chinese big cities. Many food options, great public transportation, cleanliness in most touristy spaces. Several attractions scattered throughout the city. Would recommend 2 days to explore Chengdu.

I made the mistake of visiting Chengdu when it was SNOWING and Wet Snow / Icy Rain drizzling for a few days in January 2024. That kind of (very rare) weather kills everything touristy in Chengdu: Most hotels have no heater. You need to use the AC......after one night's AC blowing, I woke up with a bad cough and developed a bad cold soon afterward. One tip: Ask your hotel for a movable heater for your room: Much better than using the AC.

Sichuan is well worth visiting and Chengdu, the capital, has an interesting history. The people are very friendly and there are plenty of places in and around the city to explore. The metro is excellent and the restaurants plentiful. Wouldn't go to the giant Panda Breeding Base if I visited again - very crowded and in January crowded but very little to see and parts of the centre shut and locked. Although the site is enormous, and it would take at least a day of walking to get around the whole place, there are I believe better and more intimate Panda centres in the area.

Interesting and culturally rich.
Interesting and culturally rich. Clean and technologically advance.
Friendly people and a safe country to visit and walk around.
Very affordable food.
However, everything will be in chinese, the signages, the menu and the language spoken. It was really challenging for non mandarin speakers to communicate there.
Not a place to shop though, cannot compare with Bangkok or Beijing.
The Panda Base is not worth a visit if you want to catch Pandas, because they will be either hiding or sleeping. However, that attractions have many instagram worthy spots to take pictures.
Kwan Chai alley is a must!! with very affordable opera shows.

Chengdu is a busy and popular travel destination in China.
Chengdu is a busy and popular travel destination in China. The museums are impressive and have amazing cultural relics. It can be hard to get a booking to visit a museum, the booking process can be difficult (mostly online via wechat). Some places in the city are very crowded, keep that in mind.

Chengdu is the capital city of Sichuan know for spicy Hotpots and pandas mainly. It’s a city that never sleeps with every possible entertainment you care to think of. Restaurants of every type, bars, clubs, spas, shopping centres and oodles of culture. What’s not to love?
It’s reputed that Chengdu has the most beautiful women and wherever you look serenity abounds in stylish attires appropriate to the sultry heady heat of summer.
The hotel is situated in a nice pedestrian area which has a temple close by plus lots of small shops and cafes. There is some building work going on right next door but it didn’t affect us at all. Completely quiet for sleeping. Just to be aware that it is a big development so you are not surprised on arrival. It doesn’t detract from this lovely hotel. Lots of character, excellent front desk staff who are very helpful, comfortable beds. Shower was powerful and lots of hot water. Rooms very clean. Great for the price too! Recommended.
If you are looking for the perfect place to feel at home whilst on holidays in Chengdu, then Casa is it! The staff are wonderful, friendly, helpful and very welcoming. Whilst we were there we were treated to delicious breakfasts including great coffee, served at a time requested by us. We were able to pre-arrange amazing evening meals at the hotel, freshly made by the owners and chef. They assisted us with suggestions for sightseeing, providing valuable local knowledge. My stay was very comfortable, I enjoyed it.
Huge rooms that function well. As with all hotels in China, the standards differ to Western standards. Powerful shower and huge bathroom. The staff on the front desk are so helpful and friendly. The manager (Louis I think) was very friendly and helpful to my mum and very kind to my children on arrival. Breakfast with Western option. About ten mins walk to nearest subway and excellent value for money.
It's probably one of the best hotels I've stayed at in China. The staff have an impeccable attention to detail, extremely friendly, speak English. Breakfast large, with good variety (a juice bar!). A Michelin rated restaurant is on site. Very cool bar with unique cocktails (Szechuan Hot Pot Tequila??). Pool and gym are fine, hot tub in the changing room is a nice addition.
it is a really corresponds 4 star hotel with a good English speaking front desk hotel staff. Mr Louse front desk manager helps me in everything. Do to his advices I have done my plan for Chendu😁 It is a bit far from the center but Subway station is close to hotel.. You can go to any point or directly to airport. Very cleane and quite comfortable.
Location of hotel was great. Breakfast spread was also good and starts very early at 6.00a.m. This is great for guests who have to leave the hotel early. Reception staff was also great. Tina Zhang was especially helpful in helping us to make advanced booking of taxis leaving the hotel at 7.00a.m. Overall experience was superb.
Clean and nice vibe. In a country were most hotels look very similar to each other this one really has its own identity and feels more like something you would find somewhere else. Nice decorations and rooftop.
Breakfast is quite unique; they give a lot of small dishes; its not particularly filling though but fun to try.
Clean business style hotel in the very convenient central location, close to the South Railway station. Hotel staff is professional, very fast check in and check out. Good stay if you are on a short business trip in the city, but for holidays I myself would look for some place that is more cozy.
Except for not having a lift, I enjoyed every aspect of the hotel. Even the weakness of not having an elevator is addressed with staff's readiness to help with the luggage. The courtyard-styled restaurant is an interesting feature so much so we had our dinner there more than once.
The hotel was very well located. They provide a map of Chengdu and are very helpful. They have a lovely terrasse to have a drink or breakfast with lots of plants. I loved the paintings in the rooms. They will suggest good restaurants.
Nice, spacious and clean rooms in a very nice neighbourhood of Chengdu! Breakfast was amazing with a variety of options to choose from. We also really liked the fact that we could use the laundry service of the hotel for free!
Manager and front desk staff were extremely helpful to organise day trips and to search for local information Their English was very good, which is a rarity in China, even in hotels.
Very good breakfast
excellent staff. stayed for a month and didn’t want to stay in a conventional hotel. was nice to do laundry and have open windows. the pool and sauna were great. Vera the manager was very friendly.
Nice location. Large hotel. Personel was accommodating. If a couple, I recommand booking a 2 single bed room, and putting the beds together - the double bed bedroom is very small.
