Good location, near subway station, very convenience. Environment is good, having friendly staff and facilities.
Nice hostel with friendly staff. Good place very near the subway station! They have a lot of tours but can also make you another tour when you have enough persons.
The toilet did not flush...
It had a great common room, you could meet other people and sit around comfortably. Clean rooms, a curtain on your bed and a bathroom in each dorm, which was cleaned very often. Staff were pretty good.
The location was a bit far from downtown, though it was accessible.
Lovely atmosphere at this hostel and the room was clean and good value for money. My daughter loved the bar area and hanging out with people there. Was a nice change from more expensive but soulless hotels.
Very nice environment. Good food. Confortable room.
Wifi limited to common areas.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, they allowed you to put laptops, money etc. in a big safe and on the day of departure stored my luggage away for me in a secure-looking locker room. The hostel itself was really nice and had a cosy atmosphere - everyone else there was keen to get to know one another with the pool table being a central hub for meeting new people. I really enjoyed this stay and would definitely go back - It was the nicest hostel I have stayed in so far!
You are getting more than you pay for, that is for sure, but don't go to this hostel expecting a hotel experience. I chose to stay in a room of 8 as a solo traveller and my top tip would be to lay out your clothes before you leave the room so you aren't scrambling around in the dark looking for things in the middle of the night!
Central location. Across the rd from Luomashi subway exit A. Good wifi. Decent sized room and bathroom. Big bed though a bit hard. Friendly helpful staff. Washing machine for guest use (15RMB per load) though no dryer, plenty of room to hang clothes on the roof. In house restaurant food reasonably priced and nice. Reasonably priced drinks at the bar. Good communal areas. Ping pong table.
No elevator. No kitchen for guest use. Some street noise. Shower leaked water on to bathroom floor. Plumbing a bit dodgy, bathroom sometimes smelt. Bit of a walk to the toilet if ur in the bar.
everything. the staff the location the room
Vary friendly atmosphere
Sometimes we could not have hot water from the shower
A lot of information, friendly staff, not a bad room, feels homey, free beer!
Great staff, always in for a chat. Nice bar with great lounge seats. location close to metro station
good location, delicious food around.
furniture is a little bit simple
A bit old ,smelling and unclean
Hotel room is very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Hotel location very close to the train station.
Typical, pleasant hostel atmosphere. Helpful staff.
As usual for a Chinese hostel, the shower in the toilet.
Opposite Metro entrance
noisy outside if you fresh air and open window in your room.
Nice place near metro station. Interesting activities. Friendly staff.
Most staff are friendly, all speak amazing English, thier food is cheap and good, great atmosphere in the common room, it's pretty close to everything.
The rooms are very simple and though it is a hostel value for money they could give a warm feeling to travlers by a little change of decoration
Great location across the street from Luomashi Metro stop (2 y per trip and easy to use) and easy 10-min. Walk to Tianfu Square (south) and Wenshu Temple (north) and more. Friendly English-speaking reception and staff and lots of info and help on tours. I did the half-day Panda tour and enjoyed it Tsingtao Beer is only 6 rmb ($1) so nice to drink a couple after a long day. The lounge area is nice and has free pool (billiards, snooker) and a 6-string acoustic guitar for guests' use, and good mix of music played all day and into the night There's also a medium-sized supermarket about 2 min. Walk from the hostel (turn left when leaving) and nice to stock up on snacks/drinks for hikes at Leshan Buddha and Emei Shan. A good mix of international and Chinese backpackers - but most Chinese backpackers kept to themselves (probably because of language barrier). Recommended hostel.
Food was cheap and fast and filling but nothing special even a bit bland. Best to walk out into Chengdu and sample quality Sichuanese food. Toilets and showers in private rooms were a bit off and bathroom was small, but rooms were ok value and dorms were about the same you get across sw China. Wi-Fi doesn't reach 3rd and 4th floor, so ask for 2nd floor or use on 1st (ground) floor in common areas. Airport pick-up (to and from) is 90 y per car or minivan - so good value if in a group, but way overpriced if single (I took green metered taxi from the airport to the hostel for 55 y). 50 y deposit for key. Some reception staff not willing to offer neutral suggestions or advice for other hostels (just told me to see the flyers).
Hostel was nice in general and the atmosphere was good with many people often at the lounge. Room was ok, although a little smelly.
We had a big and unpleasent trouble in this hostel. Although the pelicy stated that we could go in after 12pm, we arrived around 12:20. They gave us the room key and when we enter we find the surprise, room was not clean, everything was thrown everywhere and smell was very bad. When you only have one day at the city and a tight schedule you cannot lose time. We planned to get the 13:30 bus to go see Pandas so we asked to change room in order to not lose time but they rejected and we had to wait over 20 minutes seeing how they clean (we needed to do laundry and change before leaving) and after waiting this time and still not finished we decided to leave laundry without doing (ask them if they could at least hang it up for us after the inconveniences but they rejected also), leave the bags in the room even if it was open and go take the bus. We didn't have lunch but still missed the bus and had to pay for a taxi. I hope they try to solve these problems in the future and make sure rooms are ready after 12 as people may have a tight schedule and small time and things like this can ruin a whole day trip.
