Chengdu Send-Off Hotel (Baliqiao)  

Reasonably close to the train station, but the neighborhood is dubious. Good if you arrive late and want to leave early the next day. You can rent it for an hour if you wish, also! And the staff was somewhat helpful.

It would classify as an ok hotel if not for the general feel of a brothel. The mini bar was actually a mini sex-shop, there was a picture of a semi-naked lady with a phone number below just next to the bed. The carpet was horribly stained with substances I don't want to know, and with plenty of cigarette burns. The in-room computer did not boot. Hard disk failure. And if the elevator is broken - wait until it fixes itself (it does that apparently) - do NOT use the staircase. It's what nightmares are made of. VERY IMPORTANT - my booking.com reservation did not reach the hotel - I was lucky to find a free room when I arrived.

Lovely staff who were very friendly

Lift was broken and stairs were very very dirty and covered in rubbish and old food, very smelly and unhygenic. The carpet in the bedroom was revolting, sticky and hard with filth. The outside of the hotel was not very attractive and the area was not nice. There was also cigarette burns around the room and black bits fell out the air con vent on tot the bed. Bathroom was average and the shower did not stay in th holder. Hotel had the general feel of a brothel with prostitute adverts and many many condoms.
