Primary reason for selecting the hotel was the location and rate. Otherwise, it was clean, safe and comfortable. The taxi selected by the hotel for the airport did not charge by the meter, though it was equiped with one and as I requested. On arriving, the driver attempted to charge approx. 2 twice what would have been on the meter. |

Prime location Rooms are small, poorly furnished, old, need new carpet and paint and the lighting is inadequate. Given this is hotel is part of an American chain, the English skills of the staff were surprisingly mediocre. |

Clean, quiet, very practical and close to the main attractions and the tube. The untold about the visit to the Great Wall, the Jade factory and the herbal center. The meal was fine, however. |

Days Inn Forbidden City is in a great location. It's in a side street which is very quiet and welcoming after a day in the bustle of Beijing. Concierge staff were very friendly and accommodating. |

Beijing is a difficult city to navigate and to understand. Were it not for the persistant and magnigicent assistance of the wonderful hotel staff, my family's trip to Beijing would have not have been as delightful as it was. Their dutiful patience, obvious experience, earnest alicrity, attention to every detail and general thoughfulness were unrivaled by any hotel experience I have encountered any where in the world, luxery or otherwise. From large excersions to small details, everything ran smoothly only because of their dedication to our agenda and attending needs. The hotel itself is a fine one, wrapping around a small but restorative garden area. The buffet will suit most western tastes while still providing delightful samples of c The beds in China are a bit ridged by most western standards. I was surprised but not necesarily discomforted by their realtive hardness. I believe that they were actually box springs. Otherwise from start to finish our experience was fantastic. The reservation was under John Davis. |

The hotel is well situated only 10mins walk to the Forbidden City. In the opposite direction there is a fascinating night food market which is well worth a look. The hotel was able to easily arrange a Hutong pedicab Tour which i would highly recommend. As mentioned by others the bed was very hard and the rooms small but for the money it is well worth it. I found the hotel restaurant was very good, especially breakfast. As mentioned by others my room was below ground level with a small slit window but not a big problem. |

The hotel could not be in a better position. It backs right next to the wall of the Forbidden city! A little difficult for the taxi driver to find but get him to call the hotel for directions. Very easy. I stayed last year and returned this year as it is perfect. We actually used the train from the Airport and then the underground right to Tianamin East station. It was a three minute walk from there.Breakfast was included and the choices were excellent. It is a direct 5 minute walk to the biggest shopping area in beijing and a few more steps to Food Street and the night market. I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone! I could not complain about the room it was neat and clean and well appointed ( for the price) but the bed was so hard. Previously i asked for an extra doona/quilt and slept with it under me but this was only for two nights so i did not bother. Good idea though. The comfort was not the fault of the hotel.....Chinese natives like there beds hard.....like sleeping on the floor.. |

Its location is great! Nice facility, reasonable price, excellent staff. Breakfasts were able to satisfy any kind of taste and diet - lots of fruits, vegetables, juices; western and Asian cooking. As everywhere in China, do not ask for a cappuccino. You can count only on Starbucks in China to get a real one. |

The bed was exactly how I like them - really, really firm - but not all may share my preferences. The location was absolutely perfect, near the Forbidden City but also near the metro and easy to pick a cab to anywhere. On a review site, someone mentioned that the hotel, despite being not even a year old, was starting to crumble, and that's very true. It was not a problem for me, but just so others know. Also, because someone had said that some rooms were very noisy and I'm a light sleeper, I had *specifically requested* a quiet room... |
