Location brilliant to tianamen square Clean hotel
The upper rooms are better Poor phone 3G in lower basement was slightly annoying
Location Helpful staff Value for Money Have stayed here before and it really is just a great location, just a few hundreds of metre from the Square, the Forbidden City and the main Shopping Street
Noise outside window from builders next door. Not hotel's fault and fortunately work almost finished by the looks of it. Only one device permitted on Wifi per room. Hard when you both have phones and tablets.
The helpful staff hotel.....
Good location right between Wangfujin shopping area and the Forbidden City. Plenty of nice eateries nearby.
The wifi does not working perfectly.
Awesome location. Cheap.
English speaking among staff was quite limited. Loud noises outside around 5:30am
Great location. Comfortable.
This hotel has a great location about 500 meters from the forbidden city. stuff are very kind and helpful. very good and reach breakfast (also western). stayed here 3 nights and enjoyed my time. Rooms are clean, good shower but it is not luxury, if somebody is looking for it.
Super central location, quiet room, hot shower, firm bed
Super slow WiFi
My train arrived in the middle of the night, rather than mid-morning, as I had expected. I killed a few hours surfing the Internet in a 24-hour McDonald's and then went to the hotel hoping to drop off my bag. Although it was very early, they let me check in at no additional charge. I appreciated that.
The staff were not helpful, especially when trying to get a taxi.
Location was ok.
Staff did not speak English well. Not helping, friendly or courteous.
Good location, near the Forbidden City and a subway station. Very clean but the room too humid because it was located in the basement. The breakfast too expensive (not included in the booking). The staff doesn't speak good English, but it is normal for Beijing. Very poor wifi signal. Also they charge extra for tax.
location and price
Internet is limited to onlyu one device per room. Moreover, it cannot be switched between devices without personnel support. Half-basement rooms are not a good choice, despite the price - horrible stuffiness even in November.
Good location for leisure trip
Very far from exhibition place.
the location is good. but when the subway network is also very convenient and cheap to use, the good location offsets a lot of bad impressions they left on us.
1. A Chinese hotel does not support a Bank of China Visa Card (Credit card) for deposit. I had to use my bank of america card. (i have never had such a problem with any other hotel i have stayed in China or HK, or overseas). 2. we stayed there Nov 11-21. quite a long stay, but even so, they did not value us as much. our room faced a walkway, where the neighboring building had some renovation. those workers started work at 4am in the morning on Nov 16, Nov 17 and Nov 18. finally we complained about the noises and they changed our room to face the garden on their property. but they said they had complained already to the municipal bureau but nothing had been well looked after and there was nothing they could do. i told them at least they could have notified us of the renovation and noises and i demanded for further compensation such as free breakfast. however, they just refused to and said they had done whatever they could have thought of. we eventually had a quieter room, BUT IT WAS ALSO SMALLER when the room was already not big. 3. the heating is not well controlled. it can be too hot inside. 4. the carpet is dirty. 5. the receptionists speak poor English. after ten days' stay, i would rather say, although the location is good, when the subway is extremely convenient and cheap, there are certainly better options than this one.
Staff Attitude Despite sub zero temperature, did not run heating system as their official winter starts from 15th Nov. Buffet Breakfast had limited choice, No vegetarian option, room size too small, broken furniture, internet not working
humble hotel with nice and comfortable rooms
high price, a bit hard to speak English with the staff
1. Great location - walking distance from Tiananmen Square. 2. Good breakfast. 3. Quietly.
1. "Non smoking" room reeked of cigarettes awfully. 2. There were a lot of hairs in towels, and on other equipment in bathroom. Disgusting. 3. It was written that hotel won't take any deposit, but my card was charged even before arriving hotel. Then in the place additional cash deposit was taken. Credit card deposit wasn't given back, so at this moment I am charged twice. 4. At checkout some people were served with priority (out of order) without any reason.
Location excellent. Walk to all tourist hotspots including ghost street and wanfujing shopping.
Perfect location, worth the price.
The restaraunt opposite the hotel is so expensive comparing to the quantity it provided.
The location is very close (couple of easily walkable blocks) from the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. VERY convenient. Also a couple of blocks walk from metro (underground) stations. Small rooms, but comfortable, and how much time are you going to spend in your room? Wi-fi functional, with enough counter space to use a laptop. Walls "hotel thin"; was possible to hear if neighbor was watching tv, but not thin enough to catch actual dialogue. Quiet enough during the night, with occasional street noise from the alley below. Convenient independent restaurant across the alley from the hotel entrance, though the manager is a bit overbearing, trying to get you to order. "Transportation shark" (non-taxi car) usually parked in alley, offering HIGH prices. Better to simply walk to street to catch taxi (15 rmb meter vs. his 50 rmb "offer"), though it can take some time during rush hour. GREAT value for money.
Stayed in the annex, top floor. Room very hot on return (heat rises); a/c did not work. Problem solved by simply opening the window for an hour or 2 (stayed in October). Initial check-in (early evening) was somewhat spoiled by a brusque desk clerk, but a much more friendly desk staff during day when we left.
Location: in between the forbidden city (5min walk) and wangfujing street (biggelt shopping street in Asia) Rooms are clean and tidy Personell is friendly and helpful
Not very staff member speaks English, but that's China
