The room was nice and clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful!
Staff is friendly, well located, clean. The bar in the hostel is very good, with great food at any time of the day.
The shower doesn't heat very well but you'll survive.
Staff are excellent, happy & friendly. After hitting my head and wandering the streets with a severe concussion the hostel staff picked me up from the police station & organised a new room for me to recover in. Nice bar with good food, coffee & sport on the t.v. Dorms are comfortable, quiet and have everything you need. City information & tours provided were excellent. (to the staff: In my state I forgot to tell you that I am type 1 diabetic and it was almost certainly the reason I fell & hit my head, in case the police asked)
My only problem is these high standards of care are not common in other Chinese hostels.
Staff is awesome ! Location is perfect. Just next to line 5. Hostel café is great as well (good hangover breakfast, cheap beers,...)
Shower Beds quite hard
Staff, staff, staff! The service was really great and they always went the extra mile. Also, the double room was lovely, the bed comfy and the temperature perfect. The food in the bar was also great, especially the awesome breakfast options. Prices were reasonable. Overall very good value for money! We were positively surprised and would recommend to all our friends!
Nothing to complain really. The bathroom was a little outdated and the shower didn't have much pressure, but that's just china and not the hostel's fault
Good location near a subway station. Friendly staff and nice bar with decent value drinks. Well heated and cleaned daily.
Bar staff got quite grumpy with people being in the bar late even though it was within opening hours. We ended up paying for drinks twice because the bar lady failed to point out that someone had already paid for the whole round and when we asked for money back she refused. Cleaners came in daily but only restocked toilet roll. After the first two days they didn't provide clean mugs or towels. Slightly overpriced for such a run down room. We got a half price deal on booking.com but I wouldn't have been happy to pay full price.
The location is very close to Zhangzhizhonglu Subway station (exit c) 24 hours English speaking staffs Luggage storage facility after check out (Free) A Small bar attached small restaurant inside the hostel WIFI is quite good
No toiletries (only they will provide towel) No television
Very close to train station. Good bar. Clean rooms.
The personal was very helpfull. The hotel is located 2 minutes by walk from metro station. A lot of restaurants nearby the hotel.
The tour we booked with the hotel was a bit expensive for what we have got.
The staff constantly addressed me by name, were super helpful and friendly. Great, cheap bar, good location and also offered decently priced and we'll executed day trips to the wall etc
Wifi was patchy but that's pretty standard for beijing.
everyday cleaning and the service in bar.
internet speed is slow.
private bathroom, hot water pot
The staff were all very nice and helpful, they went out of their way to help us. Our room was quite comfortable, very clean and roomie.
The water in the shower wasn't hot enough.
Price was good but it was a hostel. So no surprises there.
Breakfast was not great. Bed was absolutely the worst. room was very hot.
Great location and rates in the smack of an expensive city. Services are excellent, hotel staff are warm and helpful.
Cafeteria prices are a little bit high, but not outrageous.
Dragon King was a very affordable, and friendly little hostle for my two-day stay in Bejing. The Friday night dumpling party was a nice communal activity. I booked the Great Wall tour through Dragon King, and it was wonderful. The staff spoke English and were very helpful with directions and advise. The hostel is around the corner from a subway stop, so you can travel easily from there.
I could not access wifi, perhaps because of user error. I was not expecting to anyway, so no big deal. The taxi driver could not find it, so if you are arriving that way or by public transit, it is adisable to print out a map of the area beforehand.
Clean rooms, they clean it every day and provide you with towel. The beds have got a curtain for a bit of privacy. The bar is very comfortable, too. A little bit over the price level of the city, but worth it. The hostel is close to the subway (less than 5 minutes walk) and still in walking distance of the forbidden city (30min). A big supermarket (3 floors), many atms, street food and bakeries are nearby. WiFi inside the room was fast and reliable.
Well, not really anything to complain
I've stayed in a lot of different hostels, but this one is definitely up there with the best, and it's the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff that really make it such a good place to stay. They are like a big happy family, and always go out of their way to help you in any way they can. It was my birthday while I staying at the hostel, and when I was out they left a card and cake in my room for when I returned. This was a really nice gesture. The rooms were always kept really clean, as well as the bathroom areas, and the bar was a great place to meet many friendly travellers. They also have a great happy hour with really cheap pints of beer. I stayed in three different hostels in Beijing, and this was by far my favourite. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the city.
The WiFi would sometimes not seem to work properly, however I found this in most places in China.
We really enjoyed our stay there. We had the standard bedroom and it was very cosy.Nige staff
The food of the restaurant. Slow service.!
Great location, dorm beds with privacy curtains! Friendly Staff. Nice bar that provided us with hot water whenever we requested for it.
Toilets could be cleaner. Sheets weren't changed though we stayed for 12 nights.
The staffs there are very friendly especially a guy named Bruce. He even helped us to carry a 20kg luggage up 3 floors. On our last day in Beijing, he helped us to book a taxi using his personal phone without charging us. The room would be cleaned everyday, there's nothing to complain on cleanliness. Before this I have read reviews about Asians not being treated well. I didn't experience such thing, instead my stay there was very comfortable and everyone was willing to help. The location is really strategic as it is very near to Zhangzizonglu station. Definitely will go back to this hostel if I am travelling to Beijing again.
staff was very nice bedding was clean and comfortable bathroom was clean bar was good
the wifi shower used to get blocked quite often
Location was ideal. Non-smoking properties(including the bar) are difficult to find in China-a definite plus. Helpful staff.
Really nitpicky here. One male employee used the pejorative "laowai." You'd think someone who works around foreigners would use a friendlier term. Spotty wi-fi.
- location really close to the subway - bar in the hotel - friendly and english speaking staff - great price - tips for trips
- food in the hotel bar (international) - hotel bar is expensive - really weak wifi
