- Short distance to underground - Staff - unpleasant staff - worst breakfasts I've ever had When we arrive to hotel, first what they did ... they charged my credit card ... after that they said that there was no room for me and my family !!!! After an hour; after an argument, they found room. Avoid this place !!!

Good location, design hotel, quick and free WiFi internet. The price for the room did not respond its equipment - no slippers, no tea packages, no bottle of water - the standards of half priced hotels in Beijing.

The location is great. It is right along the pathway of Exit a of the Lama Temple Station (Yong He Gong). The design of the hotel is nice. Staff are not professionally trained. Not particularly helpful in a hotel that doesn't have an elevator.

The staff spoke a little english, but they was friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and chinese style. It was winter and the room was very warm and confortable. 24 hours check-in, the staff wait for us at 1:00pm. The wireless work only in the common area. Poor breakfast. The staff sleep on the floor of the breakfast room at night.

A nice, stylish and affordable hotel in a nice part of town, although a little way from tourist central. It is a courtyard hotel so the main windows face in, onto the courtyard. Even though curtained, this can make it a little noisy. It is the price you pay for the authentic style... The place is clean and seemed extremely good, especially for the price. And the location is actually really convenient, just metres from Exit a at the subway station (lines 5 and 10). Wi-Fi (rare in China) that worked! In mid-winter the room was bit chilly when I arrived but after the radiator had been on a few hours it was actually too hot.

Great location, right near 2 subway lines, easy to get around Beijing. Lots of nice restaurants near-by. Great shower, good heating in the middle of winter, comfy bed. no fridge in the room, but it was winter so we just put our stuff on the window sill to keep it cold.

Close to Yonghegong Lama Temple metro station (take exit from metro 5 not 2). The hotel is not exactly on Wudaoying hutong road but along the 2nd ring main road. In doubt ask! The hotel is nice, clean and comfortable but managed by unexperienced young guys/girls. Poor breakfast (cafè, yogurt and a couple of toasts with butter/jam). Not sure it worths the money but the position is great.

The location is conveniently connected to the airport express train and the MTR station is just 500 feet away from the hotel, but the description of direction to the hotel could be easily confused with 1st time visitors. Bathroom and toilet facilities.

Very good location close to Subway station. Clean room. Interesting interior. When we came to check-in lady on reception said that "all rooms are occupied and we can provide you a room in our another hotel". We said "Ok". When we aarived to the "another hotel" we was very disappointed, because it was like hole in dragon's ass. We spent there only one night and next day mourning return to our hotel. So, people, if receptionists will try to "provide you a room in another hotel" do not agree! They must provide room of higher class instead of "another hotels". Poor breakfast.

Wonderful Buddhist style interior creating a magnificent atmosphere. Very friendly personnel, ready to help, speaking acceptable English. The patron speaks very well French. Very good location, close to Lama Temple and to Subway station. Also very good price/comfort ratio. Difficult acces of taxi.

It's very authentic hotel - in chinese style! Many dragons! Looks outside and inside very beautiful. 100 meters from underground station Lama Temple - perfect location. First of all - nobody speak english! Even they don't know word "tea" =) Rooms are very very small - it's tiny. Breakfast is poor.

Obviously new but designed to look like old dynastic China, I loved the fact that just a few steps from its doorstep is a slice of revived hutongs (old dwellings). Behind it are shops, bars, cafes and you literally mix with local residents as you traverse the tiny streets. Within the hotel, the room we had was quaint with western toilets, a very comfortable mattress to wash away the kms travelled on foot, and to my surprise direct access to the rooftop balcony from where you can inspect the neighbourhood. The staff were quite good and really try to be helpful. If you speak English, speak slowly enough to be understandable and you will get the answer you need. It's so close to the Lama Temple station on Line 2 which is the most central line that can take you throughout Beijing for a mere 2rmb per trip irrespective of distance It was a little difficult to find especially at night. Taxi drivers do not know where it is, either because it's off an 'Outer Street' (if you've been to Beijing you know what I mean by that) or because it is fairly new (hotel and area). The nearest entry/exit point 'a' is very difficult to find from within the station (but easy to get to from the hotel).

The atmosphere is great. Rooms are fine too. And the location is superb. Staff is poor but very willingness to help. Unfortunately there English is poor so that the real service is difficult. The cleaningness is very, very poor. A pity as they do have staff walking around. But if you do not understand that you should clean your towel so now and then, then there is no hygene. Cleaning of the rooms is very poor, all corners are forgotten. Really not a standard level. Pity, as ther is staff enough to do this.

Hotel is in a very cool neighborhood, with plenty of cafes and restaurants, easily accessible, just steps from the metro station. Visiting Lama Temple (across the street) was probably the most spiritual experience we had during our stay in Beijing and Shanghai. Everyone was so nice and friendly. In Beijing most cab drivers don't understand the word "hotel", and in fast food restaurants they often don't understand "Coca-Cola" or "Pepsi", so you can't expect the complete hotel stuff to speak English. Anyway, there is always someone at the reception desk who does. Traditional design, even more beautiful than on the photos, still with all "contemporary" features (wi-fi, big LCD TV, comfortable bathroom....). Common areas are also pleasant and nicely furbished.

dWe liked this hotel very much. Typical, classic chinese design with a quality feeling. It was located very close to the subway, some of the staff knew english, and all of them were helpful. The breakfast was a little bit small (two toast with a youghurt)

Nice, beautiful and small courtyard hotel next to the Lama temple. Convenient location. Staff was so-so. Not very helpful. We had to ask for toilet paper every day. They didn't change the bedlinen.

Very close to the subway. Very comfortable bed. There is no restaurant or room service - the morning breakfast is all there is for food, plus a small bar for drinks. There are fantastic cafe's within a few minutes walk on the street parallel to the hotel. Still, a cafe with snacks would have been nice. Also, no food snacks or drinks available in the rooms for purchase - - walked across the street to the corner store for those amenities.

Some people of the personal could speak English, and were totally helpful. The place was cute and modern at a classic Chinesse design, and its located by two lines of metro, what is good to get anywhere in the city at a least time cost.
